Chapter 4
I looked up at him and he looked down at me and we both grinned. It was so nice! Soon we were both laughing hard. The comics were funny! “Isn’t that one hilarious?” I pointed to one and managed to choke out between giggles. I felt like I had known this guy forever! The bodyguards(there were two, they had woken up awhile ago) watched us closely. Normally I would’ve felt uncomfortable but I just didn’t. Just then Kevin woke up. He saw us close together laughing. He shook awake Brian and AJ. “Hey guys, look!” he whispered to them pointing at Nick and I. “They look good together!” AJ commented “Hey D! C’mere!” Brian whispered over to Howie. Howie crawled over to the guys. “Have they been like this the whole time we’ve been asleep?”Kevin asked in a whisper. “They played Gameboy for awhile. Then I got them to talk about T.V. for awhile. After that she pulled out her comic book and they’ve been like this since,” Howie concluded. “Maybe this is the girl is the girl he needs. He hasn’t had a girlfriend in awhile and I think he needs a girl in his life,” Brian said. “I really think they look good together.” “I think you’re right,” AJ looked over at Nick. He looked very happy. I looked at Nick. He was reading with a grin on his face. He looked at me and I looked back at the comic. I looked back up a couple seconds later. He was still looking at me. Our eyes locked. It was amazing. He leaned down and kissed me! All the BSB gasped. I would’ve too but my mouth was being covered by soft lips. We didn’t notice the four other BSB plus the two bodyguards staring at us. It was so perfect, a moment of utter serenity. Suddenly the elevator lights went out. Nick pulled away. I sighed. I could feel him getting tense. “It’s ok Nick,” Brian said instantly. “Yah... I know,” Nick said nervously. “Seriously, it’s ok, Nick,” Kevin said gently. “I KNOW!” Nick said frusteratedly. I held on to Nick’s arm. I knew about his fear of the dark so I tried to comfort him as best I could. I could hear a bodyguard trying to find Nick. “Ow! That was my hand, Rob!” AJ yelped. “Sorry, AJ, I’m trying to find Nick,” Rob(the bodyguard) apologized. “He’s over here with me,” I hugged Nick’s arm tighter. “I think you should stay away from Mr. Carter for awhile, Miss,” Rob said. “It’s ok, she can stay here,” Nick took my hand and held it. “Mr. Carter, I don’t think--” “Just let her stay!” Brian spoke up. “OK... but the first noise that I don’t like and you’ll have to move away until I can supervise you two,” he informed.Back to........
