I awoke to the phone ringing and Cori and Dad gone again.
“Hello?” I mumbled.
“Hi Megan, it’s Jessie. Am I getting a pass?” Jessie asked brightly.
“Uh, I dunno. I have to ask, I’ll call you back. What’s your room number?”
I wrote it down and called room 374(Nick and Brian’s room if you don’t remember).
“Hello?” The phone picked up on the other side.
“Um, hi Brian,” I said to Brian.
“Hi Megan!” He said. I figured I could ask him.
“I need to know if Jessie can get a pass too. Can she?” I said trying to completely wake up.
“Yeah, we can get one for her,” Brian said. He wanted to see Jessie again.
“Cool!” I woke up a little more.
“You wanna talk to Nick?” he offered.
“Sure,” I replied.
“Hold on, let me wake him up,” he put the phone down.
“Nick! Nick! NICK! Get up! Megan’s on the phone,” I heard Brian talking to Nick.
“Hi Megan,” a tired, groggy voice mumbled at me.
“Hey sleepy head!” I giggled.
“The one time I get to sleep in, you wake me up!” Nick groaned.
“I’m sorry, I’ll go,” I was a little hurt.
“No! I was joking,” he yawned.
“So when are we going?”
“We’ll come get you guys at 5:30.”
“Why’re we going two hours early?”
“To make sure everything’s perfect. We also need to smooth out a dance move and I want you to be there. Megan?”
“Yeah?”
“I was just thinking. You said you couldn’t come because Cori had a soccer game... at 7:30 in the evening?”
“Oh! See, Dad would going to the game and it ends at 4:30 but he won’t get back until around 6:30 because they have a dinner to go to after with the team, and then he’d be too tired to take me.”
“Oh, ok.”
Yeah, so I better call Jessie and tell her she’s coming!”
“Sure, bye!”
"Bye, baby.”
I smiled as I dialed Jessie’s number.
“Megan?” Her voice was anxious.
“Yes, it’s me. You get a pass and a ticket!”
“YES!!!!”
