“I wanna meet them!” she jumped up.
“They’re at dance rehearsal for tomorrow’s concert.”
“There’s a concert tomorrow here?”
“Yeah. Tonight they’re gonna try and convince my dad to let me have a backstage pass to the concert!”
“No way! I wanna come!”
“Uh... maybe. I could ask.”
“Oh, that’d be so awesome!”
“I could say that I’ll have someone familiar so I won’t feel left out, I’ll have someone to share the fun time with, and it’d be a great thing to do together since we haven’t seen each other in so long!”
“Think it’ll work?”
“It’s worth a try.”
“So, where’s your dad?” she asked looking around the room.
“He’s at a soccer game. He said he’s be back around 11:30 or 12.”
“Cool! Can I stay here till he gets back?”
“Sure! You gotta tell me what you’ve been doing with your modeling!” We sat there and talked about what we had done after Jessie had moved then we just talked girl talk for awhile. Of course she had to know every detail about what happened in the elevator once I mentioned it!
We didn’t even notice how much time had gone by until Dad and Cori came back.
“Hey Megan! Hey-- Jessie?” Cori sang out. “hey!” Jessie said smiling.
“Jessie? Hi!” My dad greeted her. “What are you doing here?”
Quickly Jessie and I explained. After we explained we started begging my dad that if I went to the concert, Jessie could come. I gave him my reasons and he finally said that he decided to let me go and if the guys let her, she could come. We squealed with delight. Then we went into the hall to wander around and talk some more.
