"I can't believe you knew him and didn't tell me!" "I can't believe he fell in the pool! Ok, well, yes I can, it was typical Brian thing to do." Megan and Natalia are in Megan's and BJ's room talking about what had been going on. It was 8:30 and they had just barely been able to get away from everyone. They had been talking to the guys and hanging out. Jane had insisted on Natalia staying for dinner. "You know, Meg, Nick has a thing for you." "What are you talking about?" "He LIKES you. And I don't mean as in friends." "Yeah, sure, whatever." There was a knock on the door. "Yeah?" "It's just us." BJ's voice came through the door. "Oh OK. Come on in!" Megan called. The door opened and in walked BJ and Catie. BJ sat down on her bed next to Natalia and Catie sat next to Meg. "So, what are we talking about?" Catie asked as soon as she sat down. "You get right to the point, don't you?" Catie nodded. Natalia laughed. "Well, I'm trying to convince Meg here that Nick likes her." "GOOD LUCK! We've been trying to do that for the past 6 months!" "Yeah, whatever you guys. Hey I have an idea. Natalia, why don't you stay here tonight?" "I would love to, but do you think Jane will mind?" "NO! The motto in this house: The more the merrier! We take that in it's most literal meaning." BJ said with a smile. Yeah, I've noticed that. Well, in that case, sure, I'll stay." "That's great!" There was another knock on the door. "Who is it?" BJ asked. "It's me." Nick's voice came through the door this time. "Speaking of the devil." Catie whispered. BJ and Sarah laughed. "Come in, Nick." Megan said, while shooting all three of them looks. The door opened and Nick smiled at the four of them all sitting there, on the two beds. "Hey, girls, what's going on?" Catie looked at Megan and then back at Nick. "Wouldn't you like to know." This made BJ and Natalia laugh even harder. "OK, um anyway. Megan, can you come on a walk with me, I need to talk to you about something." "Yeah, sure, I'll be right down. Oh and Nick, could you tell Mom that Natalia is going to spend the night here so that she doesn't have to drive." "Yeah, sure. No problem. See ya in a few." He left the room and shut the door behind him. " 'Megan, can you come on a walk with me. I need to talk to you about something.' " BJ imitated her big brother. "Gee I wonder what that could be!" "Yeah, no kidding. It's more like "Megan will you come on a walk with me? I need to ask you to marry me." Catie said. "Oh god! Why me?" Megan looked up. "You two...." She pointed to Catie and Natalia. "...Have been spending WAY to much time with Brian. And as for you..." She pointed to BJ. "... You have Carter blood, I think that has something to do with it." "Yeah sure it does! Just go on your little walk." "I'm going! I'm going!" Meg reached for her shoes, beside her bed. "God! It's almost as if you want me to..." She looked at the three girls. "...Oh, never mind!" "Just go down and go on your walk..." Catie started "OK. I'm going." She got up off the bed, grabbed a sweatshirt and pulled it over her head. "I'll see you all later." "... And we'll see just how single she is when she comes back!" Catie finished her sentence. This sent BJ and Natalia into a fit of hysterical laughter.Back to.......
