Chapter 14
When they entered the house music was playing and crape paper was everywhere. There was a huge banner that read WELCOME HOME, MEGS! across the front archway. She was so surprised and was glad that Nick was standing behind her because she almost fell over. Aaron and Angel were the first to notice that she was there, and began running towards her yelling, "MEGS IS HERE! MEGS IS HERE!" in unison. She bent down and gave each of them a hug. When she stood back up, Nick whispered in her ear, "Welcome Home." She turned around and looked at him. "You told me they had all gone off in there own direction!" "They did, Frick went to get the decorations, Kev took BJ and the rest of the kids to design the banner and get it made, and Howie went with Mom and Dad to pick out the cake. My job was to get you out of the house and keep you out until 4:30. I didn't tell you one lie and I still got the job done so there!" While they were having this conversation, Brian had come up behind Megan and when Nick finished his sentence he grabed Meg by the waist, scaring the living crap out of her. "May I have this dance?" She tipped her head back and looked up at him. "Sure, why not?" She turned around and faced him. Grabbing the hand he was offering her she followed him out to the dance floor, which was really the dining room that had been cleared out. "So what did you and Nick do today?' "We went out to lunch at restaurant that we got kicked out of ten years ago and swore would never let either of us back in. Then we went and saw Batman & Robin. It was the most God-awful movie I have ever seen." He laughed. "Then Nick took me to the park we use to go to when we were little and...." She looked at the floor. "And what? Did Nick do something stupid?" "No. I was the one crying my eyes out." "Oh? And may Big Brother Bri ask why you were crying?" "I caught my boyfriend cheating on me two weeks and as I was putting the necklace that I gave Nick on him I broke down. I just couldn't hold it in any longer. Then we got into this big talk about relationships." "Um, while we're on that subject can I talk to you about what you saw yester-" "I know it wasn't what it looked like." she cut him off. "BJ explained everything to me." "Good." The song ended and she walked over to where Nick, BJ, Howie, Leslie, and Kevin were standing.Back to......
