-Waiting for the elevator-
‘Why am I doing this to myself? You know he likes you and you like him.’ I thought to myself.
“Catie, why did you run out?” Brian asked me when he found me by the elevators.
“I don’t know. I almost didn’t come tonight fearing that I would fall for you again and you would hurt me by leaving.” I said
“Well I’m never going to hurt you again, because when I hurt you by leaving I hurt me as well. I never knew I loved you until I left. By then it was too late.” Brian said and he hugged me. I hugged him back.
“I love you too.” I whispered.
“Why don’t we go back to the rest of the guys. I bet they’re wondering where we are anyway.” Brian said.
“Sure, lead the way.” I said smiling.
“Hey guys!” Brian said as we walked into the room.
“Looks like you two made up.” Nick said.
“We had this great idea while you guys were gone. Ashley told me that you guys were devoted Backstreet Boy fans.” AJ said, as soon as he finished saying that I broke out laughing.
“Ashley you couldn’t have, did you?” I asked her. She nodded yes.
“What’s going on here? Am I missing something?” Brian asked confused.
“Well, you know how you guys did that thing on Disney, ‘Backstreet Boys in Concert', or something. Well, Ashley’s little sister was over and she wanted to watch it. We ended memorizing the dance that you guys did on stage.” I couldn’t help but laugh at the end. “So we got the idea of using you as our dance partners.” AJ said.
“Ohmigod, really?” Meg said, looking at Nick in a daze.
“Yup really,” said Nick, smiling at Megan.
“Well us girls better change out of these dresses and into things we can actually dance to.” I said.
“Well hurry Catie, I know how long you take to get dressed.” Brian said.
“Here are the backstage passes you guys will need and Chris, your escort/bodyguard, is going to be up in twenty minutes.” Howie said handing each of us a necklace with a plastic card that hung from it.
“Why do we need a bodyguard?” asked Erin.
“Word travels fast and girls are going to kill you for those backstage passes,” said Kevin.
“Eeeeewwwwww!” All of us girls said together.
“Well we better get going,” I said. I kissed Brian before we left.
“Yo Catie! We’re at our floor.” Meg said shaking me.
“You must be thinking about Brian,” Ashley said to me.
“What makes you say that?” I asked.
“Well, I know because I saw you kiss him on the way out, duh.” She said back.
“Oh,” I said.
“We better hurry you guys. We have like fifteen minutes.” Sarah said.
“So have any of you guys match up with anyone?” I asked.
“Meg and Nick have!” Sarah said enthusiastically. “They were totally flirting!”
“Was not!” Meg said defending herself.
“Whatever, lets not get into a cat fight you guys.” I said. “Anyone else?”
“Sarah and Kevin have and Erin and Howie have.” Ashley said.
“And what about you missy?” Erin asked. “You were flirting with AJ ALMOST as much as Meg was flirting with Nick!”
“Whatever, I was not!” Ashley said in defense.
