Chapter 19

“I’m so nervous,” I said.

“So am I, how can you guys be so calm?” asked Meg.

“Nothing really,” they said.

“Catie, I have a question,” said Brian.

“Yeah what?” I asked.

“Well, I’ve known you almost all my life, and I love you. Will you marry me?” he asked.

“Yes,” I said giving him a kiss.

“Eeeeeekkkkk,” squealed Meg as he put the ring on my finger.

“We’re here,” said AJ.

“Ohmigod breathe,” I said to myself.

“Calm down,” said Brian.

“Easy for you to say,” I said. All the flashes blinded me when I walked out of the limo. I haven’t seen so many famous people in my life.

“Ohmigod,” I said, “There’s Britany, JC, and Justin.”

“Yeah what about them?” asked Brian.

“I tried out on MMC with them but I didn’t make it, I have to go say hi, and it looks like Britany and Justin are dating,” I said looking at them, Britany, and Justin were walking hand in hand. ‘That’s so adorable,’ I thought to myself.

“Britany, JC, Justin,” I screamed over to them.

“Ohmigosh, Catie,” said Britany coming over to hug me.

“Hey, what’s up, long time no see,” I said.

“Well, you know me, what’s up with you?” she asked.

“Girl haven’t you been watching television? I

choreograph for the Backstreet Boys,” I said. “Hey JC, hey Justin,” I said when they came over.

“Hey, congrats on the nomination,” said JC giving me a hug. Justin seemed somewhat surprised to see me.

“Hey to you too,” I said.

“Ohmigod, what is this?” said Britany pointing to my ring.

“I’m engaged,” I said.

“Eeeeekkkkkk!” squealed Britany. “Who’s the guy?”

“Brian,” I said.

“Brian Littrell? Brian your best friend?” she said.

“Duh, girly, who else?” I said. “Hey look there he is now.”

“Hey Catie,” he said giving me a kiss.

“This is Britany, JC, and Justin,” I said introducing everyone. “And this is Brian.”

“We better get going, at this rate we’ll never make it to our seats,” said Brian.

“Okay, see ya guys, and good luck,” I said leaving. We posed for a couple pictures for the photographers and stopped for a few short interviews. By the time, we finished walking down the red carpet everyone knew we were engaged.

“And the winner for ‘Best Choreographed Video’ is...the Backstreet Boys’ ‘Larger Than Life,’” said Ricky Martin and Jennifer Lopez.

“Sweetie you won,” said Brian.

“I won? I won!” I said.

“Go up,” said Brian.

“Ohmigosh, I don’t even have a speech ready,” I said, “I’d like to thank Donna and Johnny for giving me the chance of choreographing, and Brian, Nick, Kevin, AJ, and Howie for not driving me up the wall with their practical jokes. Um... I’d like to thank everyone who voted because you were the people who made it possible, I love you Brian.” I was escorted off the stage in tears of joy.

“You did great babe,” said Brian giving me a hug and a kiss backstage.

“Congratulations Catie,” said Britany giving me a hug.

“Good luck Britany,” I said before she went off to perform.

“Congrats, Catie,” said the guys when I got back to my seat.

“Thanks,” I said.

The guys won ‘Best Group,’ ‘Best Song,’ and ‘Best New Album.’
