Chapter 12

-After practice-

“I want to go back to the hotel to shower, and I think you guys should too. No offense or anything but you people smell.” I said.

“I agree,” said Meg and Ashley. -Later that day-

“Hey, Meg, do you know where my sundress is?” I yelled at her.

“In the closet,” she yelled back.

“Thanxs!” I yelled to her. ‘Now what to do with my hair?’ I asked myself. “How should I wear my hair? I want to look really good tonight.”

“Oh, for what?” she asked.

“Brian’s taking me out since I got the job as assistant choreographer,” I said trying different ways to put my hair.

“Just wear it down and blow dry it so it has more volume to it.” she suggested, “Where is he taking you?”

“That’s a good question. He didn’t tell me, he said it was a surprise.” I said and taking her advice on the hairdo. * KNOCK KNOCK *

“Who is it?” Meg yelled at the door.

“It’s me,” said Brian.

“Hi Brian,” she said as she opened the door.

“Catie ready yet?” he asked.

“Nope, but soon,” she said.

“Hey Brian,” I said walking out. I decided to add some curls to the ends of my hair.

“You look great tonight,” he said.

“You don’t look too bad yourself,” I said.

“Ready to go?” he asked.

“Yup, let go,” I said taking his arm. “Bye Meg, I’m leaving,” I said closing the door. “So where are we going?” I asked.

“I can’t tell you that, and you’re going to have to be wearing this,” he said holding up a blindfold.

“Why?” I asked.

“Because I said so,” he said.

“Fine,” I said. He put the blindfold on me when we reached the limo. We rode in the limo for about fifteen minutes until we stopped.

“We’re here,” he said.

“Can I take off my blindfold?” I asked very impatiently.

“No not yet,” he said helping me out.

“You promise you won’t push me off a cliff or anything?” I asked.

“No I won’t, promise,” he said. We walked for a while until we were there. “Here look,” he said taking off my blindfold.

“Ohmigod, it’s gorgeous,” We’re having a picnic on a beach looking at the sunset. “It’s totally perfect!”

“I knew you would like it.” He said.

“You actually cooked?” I asked very surprised.

“Yeah, what makes you so surprised?” he asked.

“Remember in sixth grade and we were in home ec together? We were supposed to bake a cake and I was sick so you had to do it. And your mom said you almost blew up the whole kitchen!” I said laughing.

“Oh, yeah, good thing you got better fast enough where you could make another cake,” he said.

“Yeah and...” I said trailing off.

“We have to talk,” he said.

“I know,”

“What’s going on between us?”

“I don’t know... I really don’t. I mean I have to finish school, I have a job as choreographer for you guys, I have you, but I mean you guys start touring again and I still have school to finish, I’m going to lose you again in a couple days,” I said not looking at him.

“What do you want to do?” he asked.

“I don’t know, I want to stay with you and the guys, but I also want to finish school. You know it’s always been a dream of mine to become a doctor.” I said to him.

“Well it’s also been a dream of yours to become a choreographer and a dancer.” He said.

“I know, what do you want me to do?” I asked.

“I want you to stay with us, I don’t want you to leave, but it’s your choice,” he said. “Let’s just have a good time tonight.”

“Okay,” I said. We had the best time. After dinner, we went walking on the beach. I never wanted it to end.
