Chapter 6
"AJ's back, your turn Kev!" Gary yelled. Kevin jumped off the couch and walked to the stage. "So, I saw Nick's girl...." AJ said mysteriously. "And?" Nick asked. "And what?" "What was she doing? What did she look like? Did she look happy? Did she look embarrassed? Ticked, maybe? I got the impression she wasn't too happy. darn, AJ! Just tell me!" "Whoa! Nicky, just calm down!" Howie said. "AJ's gonna tell, right AJ? Brian turned to AJ and glared at him. "I dunno....she looked good, but I didn't need to tell YOU that. She was laughing and talking, erm...yelling in to a cell phone." AJ answered. "Oh...OK, that's it?" "Go see for yourself!" AJ said slightly annoyed. "C'mon Bri." Nick grabbed Brian's arm and pulled him to the entrance of the stage. They stucked their heads out a bit so they won't be spotted by any fans. Kevin was in the middle of 'Nobody But You'. Nick spotted her and smiled. She was watching Kevin preform. Nick felt a little jealous then. It's not like he had any claim on her, he reminded himself. But he liked the way AJ had said 'Nick's girl' before. Then he thought of what Kevin said earlier, about how he probably wasn't gonna see her again...... "Guys! What are you doing?!" Gary said angrily. "Checking out Nick's new crush." Brian answered. Nick turned slightly pink. "Nick, we've been through this before." "I know, I know." Nick answered. "Now get ready! You all go on next. I'm gonna get Howie and AJ." And with that he dissapeared in to the long corridor. "Nick, you don't like her that much, do you?" Brian asked hesitantly. He didn't want Nick to get hurt. Relationships really don't work for any of them. Especially now that they're on the road. The girl turned and started talking to a girl next to her. Nick smiled again. "I don't know, Bri. There's just something about her." "Nick, you say that about every girl that catches your attention." Brian argued. "But, I've never done what I did before, did I?" "Good point...but still Nick, you don't even know her!" "Well, I'm gonna get to know her. She's comming backstage." "Just don't get all excited for dissapointment, OK?" "Bri! I'll be fine! God, you sound like my mother." Brian just sighed. While they were talking...... This song isn't that bad. The one that that guy was singing. Kevin, was it? I listened for a while, then my thoughts drifted. To Nick, then to Seth. Then to Nick again and my thoughts stayed there. What was I getting myself in to? I thought to myself. "So......are you a big BSB fan? that girl asked me. I turned to her. "Not really." I said sheepishly. "Didn't think so. A fan would have freaked out or something." she said, "I'm Cassy." "Emily." "What school do you go to?" "Actually, I live in Georgia." "Cool, why are you here?" "I was kinda forced to go with my cousin, but I lost her before." She looked at me weird. Like the way Nancy did. "We got seperated!" I defended myself. She laughed. "Kevin's solo is almost over." she said to me, glancing at Kevin. "It's a good song." I commented and continued to listen to the lyrics. It was kinda hard. All that screaming...... All the guys came out next. I swore, I saw Nick wink at me. Cassy nudged me. "Oooooooh!" she said teasingly. I blushed. "Shut up!" She smiled and made me blush more. I looked up and watched the guys started to sing and do those wicked dance moves. The dance style looked familiar. It looked like the way I danced..... They sang a couple more songs snd then it came to 'I'll Never Break Your Heart'. "Emily! Nick's gonna pick you! Nick's gonna pick you!" Cassy shreiked, yanking on my arm. "Cassy....ow! Pick me for what?" I had no idea what she was talking about. (*Author's note-I know...BSB didn't pick any girls to sing to during the summer tour, but, oh well!*) "Oh, yeah. I forgot. OK, Kevin, Howie and Nick each pick someone to sing to and to dance with in this song. He's gonna pick you!" "Why don't the rest of the guys pick someone?" This was confusing me. "AJ and Brian are the leads in this song." she explained. "Oh! What makes you think he's gonna pick me? There's plenty other girls in the audiance." I argued. "Hello?! He sang to you and gave you a backstage pass. He's gonna pick you!" I rolled my eyes, again. "I don't think so...." Secretly I hoped so.Back to...........
