Chapter 14
Nick grabbed Emily's hand to help her out the limo. They had arrived at the mall and there were no fans outside to meet them. "It's 12:40 now, you have until 4:00." Lonnie said, unlocking the big, glass doors. "Hey, let's meet up around 2:30 and we can go to the amusment park thing together." Brian called out. "What's it called?" AJ asked Emily. "Galaxy Land. It use to be Fantasy Land, but Disney sued them." she answered. "OK, let's shop." AJ cried out. "Wait a sec." Lonnie said loudly, he was talking in to a walkie-talkie. After a moment he called out, "Never mind, go ahead." Nick saw 2 girls comming their way. He couldn't help but look at them. A smile slowly crept on his face. They were about his age. Both shorter than him. Both very good looking. One had looooong blond, curly hair. She was wearing a short blue skirt and a tight fitting tank top like Emily's. The other had shoulder length red hair. Very cute with freckles. She was wearing shorts with a halter top. They both had name tags, but he coudn't read them. The blond tossed her hair and winked at him, giving him a suggestive smile. Nick smile back and continued watching them walk down the mall. "Hey, Nicky!" Daryl waved his hand in front of Nick's face, "You coming? Or do you wanna gawk at girls? They all left already." Nick snapped his attention back to what Daryl said. "What?!" he cried. Daryl was right. While he was busy checking out girls, his girl left with one of his boys! I am such a moron, he thought. just when I was getting somewhere with her and I have to go and screw it up! It was too big of a mall, how could he ever find her? He smacked himself on the forehead. "What's with you?" Daryl asked. "I'm an idiot." he muttered. "I could have told you that!" Daryl laughed. Nick glared at him. "I'm serious, I am a total idiot." Further down the mall.... Who the heck does he think he is anyways? He was pratically undressing those 2 girls with his eyes! Wait a sec....am I allowed to be ticked? It's not like we're seeing each other. Were not even close to that! And do I really like him? Noooo.......Then why the heck am I so god darned pissed? I walked around aimlessly. By myself, they all went different ways. And Fatima went off with Howie. "Emily!" someone cried. I spun around. It was AJ. "Hey." I said, "Where's James?" "I ditched him." he shrugged, "Know any good stores?" "Tons." "What are we waiting for, girl? Let's go!" he yelled. "Don't yell so loud. James might find you!" I scolded. He rolled his eyes. "Where to first?" he asked. "Club Monaco." We walked towards the store. "So why aren't you with Nick?" "Why would I be with Nick?" I tried to sound breezy. "And why would you not?" "And why would I?" This is seriously reminding me of Brian and mine's conversation. "Never mind." We walked past Le Chateau. "AJ, let's go here." I grabbed his arm and dragged him in. He took one look of the girls behind the cashier and said, "I like this place." He walked up to them and started chatting. I started picking things off the racks. Not really looking for anything. A couple minutes later, AJ tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around. "Emily? You wanna go? Those girls are scaring me." he whispered. "Yeah sure, just let me pay for these things." "Hurry up though." he said. I laughed. We walked to the cashier and I dropped the things down on the counter. I quickly paid for AJ's benefit and we left. "So why were you so scared of those girls?" I asked him. "Did you see them? One was taller than Kevin!" he said in disbelief. "AJ, honey, they were in platforms." I said slowly. "They still scared me!" he sounded like a baby. "Oh, here!" I cried. We were passing Jacob. "I don't wanna go there!" he whined. "Too bad." We went in. And surprisingly, he had fun. And for a guy, he had pretty good shopping sense. We'd go in a store. He's pick something for me, I'd pick something for him. "I'm gonna be broke." I sighed, "My bill on my card is gonna be huge!" "You're gonna max out your card, you know." he said looking at my many shopping bags, "But why do I have a feeling you've done that before?" "I have..."I admitted, "Finally! Club Monaco." "Hey, Kev's here." AJ said. "Hey Kevvy." I cried. "Whoa! Save some stuff for us!" Kevin joked. "Where's Lonnie?" I asked. "Trying on sunglasses." "Excuse me...but I see 2 lovely ladies over there." AJ said and he walked to the 2 same girls that Nick was looking at before. "Where are you going, Emily?" Kevin asked. "Nowhere....." I answered, what was so special about those 2 girls? "Is there some sort of Nike store or anything like that here?" Kevin asked. "Of course!" "Where is it?" "I'll take you there....where's Lonnie?" I looked around. "I'm right here!" he yelled from behind a rack of sunglasses, he held up a small, tiny pair, "Is it me?" "Fraid not, let's go. I need new blades...." I muttered to myself and led them out the door.Back to..........
