Chapter 1
Ring! Ring!
"Ugh! Somebody, pick up the damn phone!" I muttered, my eyes still glued shut from lack of sleep. I thought, wait! It's my phone! Whoops! Blond moment, even though I hod brown hair, I could still have a blond moment, I DO have blond highlights. I dragged my arm from under my warm blanket and picked up my phone. "Hello?" I answered sleepily.
"Hiya, cuz!" I reconized that high pitched voice. My cousin Lisa from Jacksonville.
"Do you know what time it is?"
"Yeah! It's 7:49. Good thing I caught you before you went to school!"
That woke me up. "What?!?!? Ohmigod! It's 7:49? I have to be in my home room in 11 minutes! Shit!!!" I screamed.
"Emily! Wait! I need to talk to you!" Lisa said.
"I really need to go..."
"Put me on your speaker!"
"Fine!" I snapped. God, that girl has no life. I pressed on 'speaker' button and jumped out of bed. I in my walk-in closet and started to search for something to wear.
"Talk! And make it fast!" My alarm clock now read 7:51.
"OK, Emily, can you do me a really big favor and.............."
I kinda blocked her out after that. All I really heard was buy 2 tickets two Backstreet Boys concert....same time as you...please.... my parents.... blah.... blah....blah.....please! That annoying 'please' snapped me back to our so-called conversation.
"Umm...yeah, whatever." I said.
"So you'll buy the tickets for me?" she begged.
"Umm...sure!" I said. Where the hell did I put my socks? And my notebook? And my homework?
"Thank you soooooooo much!" Lisa screamed, "I owe you big time!"
"Yeah, uh huh. Gotta go."
Then I hung up and raced in to my bathroom that I shared with my older bro, Barry. "Why didn't anybody wake me up?" I muttered to myself.
I studied myself in the mirror. Blemish free, alright! I had shoulder length brown hair with blond highlights and blue eyes. My skin is tanned, which blends in well with my shoulder length brown. I had a slim, petite figure. Mostly thanks to my addiction to softball, teniss, and basketball. I didn't care if I was late anymore. I was gonna be late anyways, so no point in rushing now. I might as well take my time putting on my make up. I usually don't use it, but sometimes, just for the hell of it. At 8:30 I left my house, making a mental note to buy the Backstreet Boy tickets for my cousin.
I snicked to myself, pitying the poor fool who was going to the concert with Lisa.
