My Living Room-Get to know me better

This is ME! I was born in Salinas,Puerto Rico in 1950something. I went to Santiago R. Palmer Elementary School, Roman Baldorioty de Castro Junior High School, and Luis Muņoz Rivera High School, all in my hometown. I was a great student. I started University at the Catholic University of Puerto Rico in Ponce, Puerto Rico in 1972 and got married in 1974. In 1976 I graduated with a Bahellor's Degree in Education. A few months later I received the best graduation present with the birth of my first child a baby boy, who was named Miguel Angel, after his father. I started to work as a teacher at Arroyo High School teaching business subjects, like typing, shorthand and others. I can tell you working and motherhood is an exhausting, but satisfying experience. In 1978 I started working as a Secretary at Coamo, Puerto Rico at the Community Mental Health Center. In 1979 my daughter, who's name is Milka Ivette, was born. After two years as a secretary I realized that I didn't like that kind of job and return to work as a teacher and decided to study again to obtain a Master Degree in Education. During this time, in 1981 my second son (third child) was born. His name is Jose Miguel, but we call him Jose. I continued working as a Teacher while I was studying. If I thought that motherhood and work was hard, when my first son was born, I learned a new meaning to the term "hard", now adding studies, with three children and a full time job, all at the same time. But I did it and did it well. In 1982 I graduated, obtaining a Master Degree in Education, with a concentration in Administration and Supervision. I continued working as a teacher until 1984 when I started working as a Business College Director at the Cayey Community College in Cayey, Puerto Rico. The College was sold and I returned to work as a teacher at the Benjamin Harrison Vocational School in Cayey, Puerto Rico. By that time in 1986, my third son (forth child) was born, we named him Angel Miguel. I had always thought of a career in law and I don't know why I chose teaching instead. In 1989, I decided to persue that dream and entered the School of Law, at the Catholic University of Puerto Rico in Ponce, Puerto Rico, embarking on a four year quest to become a lawyer, but this time with four children, and a full time job. I graduated from the Shcool of Law in 1992. In 1994 I was admitted to the Bar and worked as an independent legal counsel until 1995 when I was appointed as a Prosecutor for the State Department of Justice, at the Regional Office of Guayama, Puerto Rico. This was a job that I enjoyed very much. It was very exciting and challenging, and I got to put away the bad guys. By 1997, I separated from my husband. I got divorced. After that, I met this wonderful man, who's name is Guillermo Garcia-Godoy. Yes even though we are not married anymore I still think he is a wonderful man and I wish him the best. In 1997, wasting no time to make me a young grandmother, my daughter gave birth to her first daughter, Wilbeliz. In August, 1999 she had her first son, Wilberto. So I have two grandkids from her. In May 2000, my third grandchild, a girl, Andrea Victoria was born. She is my oldest son's, Miguel, daughter. In December 2004, my son Miguel had another girl, her name is Alexa Fabiola. At that same time, my other son Jose had a baby boy, who was named Fernando Jose. On May 2007 my youngest grandchild was born, Miguel Angel is his name, of course as a hispanic tradition he was named after his father. My children and grandkids, are my crowning glory, and you can see them in my online virtual photo album....they are hanging around in one of the bedrooms. Following are some photos of me.
