We only went for one day this year. You see, I found out about this convention a week before it came to Florida. I called my mom immediately and was like "We HAVE to go!" So, after a week of writing essays and papers, my mom finally said yes. We drove up through a lot of smoke on Sunday. We got there and discovered that we could get second row tickets. ^_^ That was a stroke of luck. I don't remember what came first (considering that I'm writing this about a week later after a week of toture at school). There was a video from the Pasadena convention and a music video. Then there was an "Eve" video and then Adrienne Wilkinson came out. She was so nice, though she seemed a bit nervous. She told stories and answered questions. There was a trivia contest after that. We dressed Allison up as Xena (with my old costume). She was an instant hit. The minute we stepped out of the bathroom a bunch other other people in costume were like "There's Xena!" Then they took a picture with her. Everybody loved her. She won a $25 gift certificate in the costume contest. There was an auction (and everything went for so much money). There were bloopers, a Gabrielle music video, and then Hudson Leick!!! Hudson Leick was really cool. She's very outgoing and basically played to the audience. Her outfit was very cool. It was green and mermaid-ish (she auctioned it off for charity later on). She threw Hershey Kisses out into the audience and then actually came out and tossed glitter on everybody. It was very entertaining. After that we waited for autographs...and waited...and waited. Adrienne was first. She loved Allison's costume. We spoke briefly about roles with split personalities (since I played one once). We thanked her and went for Hudson's autograph next. She was nice, but a bit intimidating. It's this look she has (a Callisto thing I guess). ^_^ We waited for pictures after that. Allison was getting kinda impatient and hungry, but we still waited. I, on the other hand, got up on stage and sang and danced with about four other people. My mom didn't expect that, I think. It was so much fun! I even got Allison up there, which made her forget about her hunger for a while. We finally took pictures with Adrienne and Hudson and then we went out to dinner. The pictures will be up on the convention page soon. I just need my scanner! I hope that there's another convention next year! I'll definitely go again! But *sniff* this is the last season of Xena. So, I guess we'll just wait and see what happens... ^_^
