Factory Alloy Rims

You may be asking yourself "why factory rims?" I asked myself that question several times over. Here are the reasons I elected to move up to the new style factory rims.

1. The first reason to change from the original factory swirl rims was because of the simple fact that  the swirl rims are just so damn ugly. I couldn't bear to keep them on the car any longer than necassary.

2. The second reason was to utilize a wheel that would allow a greater flow of air to the brakes which are begging to stay cool.

3. Another reason I went with factory rims is that generally speaking they are considerabley lighter than most aftermarket rims. Yeah, I would love 17" or 18" rims, but that is what lead me into reason #

4. COST - the simple fact of the matter is that the amount of money to make the initial investment and forthcoming upkeep of 17" rims is considerably more than that of the original factory rims. You save approximately $25-30 per tire not to mention the initial purchase of the rims. So for a guy who leaves a large portion of his tires on drag strips and autocross courses across Florida, this a good money cruncher. More money =  more parts.
