Chapter 21

"Hey Kate!" I heard Lillian yell. I rolled over and opened my eyes.
"What?"
"Phone call for you," she said handing me the phone.
"Thanks," I said taking the phone from her. "Hello?"
"Hey Kaitlyn!" came Jenn's voice.
"Hey Jenn! What's up?"
"Not much! AJ was telling me a little something about you today."
"What's that?"
"That you're moving down here. Is that true?"
"Yep! Brian's flying up here today to help me pack, then I'm flying back down with him either later today, or tomorrow. I don't know yet. He hasn't told me."
"That's so exciting! I'm so happy that you're coming back!"
"So am I! So you and AJ live together now, huh? What's that like?"
"Heaven!"
"Really? He's not like bugging the crap out of you or anything like that?"
"No way!"
"That's good. Anyway, I'd better go. I have to call the guidance office and get all my stuff transferred so I can go to UCF, then I have to get some boxes and start packing. I'll call you later tonight to tell you what's going on."
"Okay! Can't wait to see you!"
"Same here! See ya!"
"Bye!" she said before hanging up. I jumped out of bed and headed for a quick shower. When I got back out, Lillian had already left for school. I walked into my room and turned my stereo on then started getting dressed. I was done getting dressed and about to pick up the phone to call the guidance office when the phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Hey Kate!" said Brian.
"Hey sweetie!"
"Guess where I am?"
"Where?"
"At the airport!"
"Cool, so you'll be here in like 2 hours?"
"No, I'm at the airport in Chicago!"
"Really? Wow! I'll come pick you up! What gate?" Brian gave me all the information I needed then we hung up. I grabbed my purse and my keys off the kitchen counter and headed downstairs to my car. I was at the airport in about 10 minutes. I walked through the gate with the hugest smile on my face. I looked around everywhere but there was no sign of him. I turned around about to go look at the monitor to make sure he wasn't just playing a prank on me and was almost knocked down by this beautiful bouquet of roses. I smiled widely figuring it was Brian. He pulled the roses away from his face and gave me the cheesiest smile I had ever seen in my life.
"Brian, you are such a corn cob!" I said as he handed me the flowers.
"I know it, baby!" he said wrapping his arms around me and kissing me. It felt so good to be in his arms again, kissing him, just being with him. We pulled away and I smiled at him then picked up the flowers that I had dropped on the floor and smelled them.
"Thank you," I said smiling at him.
"Anything for you, my darling," he said in some weird British/Kentucky accent. He gave me another cheesy smile then extended his arm for me. I linked my arm with his and we walked like that out of the airport and into my car. When we got it, he leaned over and kissed me again. I started the car and pulled out of the parking lot. As we drove along, I couldn't hide my happiness, I was smiling from ear to ear and so was he.
"Wanna listen to some music?" I asked looking at him out of the corner of my eye.
"Sure!"
"Alright. I think I have a tape around here somewhere," I said looking around. I found it on the floor by his feet. I reached down and grabbed it with my eyes still on the road.
"Hey, while you're down there..." he said jokingly.
"Oh don't you wish!" I said punching him lightly in the arm. We both laughed. I shook my head and put the tape in. "This should make you feel right at home."
"Why what is-" he was cut off by the sound of his own voice singing "Everybody, rock your body. Everybody, rock your body right." I just laughed as he plugged his ears and tried to hum as loud as he could to drain out the music. "Stop the insanity!" he yelled pushing the power button on the tape player.
"You don't even like your own music? You're the one who sent me the damn tape!"
"I sent you that? Man, I must have been smoking rocks! Sorry to torture you like that!"
"I don't think it's torture! I like it!"
"I liked it like the first 20 billion times I had to sing it. Now it's getting a little old. Wait a minute...don't I recall a certain someone wincing at the name Backstreet Boys not to long ago?" I let out a muffled laugh and looked over at him.
"That was until I found out about you and all your glory!" I said pinching his cheek. He pretended to be blushing.
Not to long after, we pulled into the parking lot of my building. I unlocked the door and let him in.
"Sorry, it's sort of messy."
"Naw, it's alright. It's not like my apartment is spit-shined!"
"Gross, I hope not!"
"So where's your room?" he asked looking around at all the stuff we had on our walls. I was in the kitchen putting my keys on the key-rack.
"Down the hall and to your right." He walked down the hall and into my room.
"Oops, sorry," I heard him say. I walked back there and opened my door wider. Lillian was in there packing for me.
"Hey Kaitlyn!" she said looking up at me.
"Hey girl! Whatcha doin?" I asked wrapping my arms around Brian's waist from behind.
"Thought I'd help ya pack!"
"Trying to get rid of me, huh?"
"No! I just thought I'd help you guys out a little. It's all pretty much done except for your poster and your pictures."
"Wow! Thanks! Oh yeah! This is Brian!" I said introducing him.
"It's about time you acknowledged my existence!" he said smiling at me. I let go of his waist and walked into my room, almost tripping over a box. "Like she said, I'm Brian," he said extended his hand to Lillian.
"I'm Lillian, or Lilly, or Lil, whatever, it doesn't matter!" she said shaking his hand.
"Well, what if I wanted to call you L?"
"Go ahead!"
"How about...loser?"
"Hmm...okay."
"What about stupid dumb ass bitchy loser freak?"
"Okay, just call me Lillian!" she said laughing. I laughed and sat on my bed. Brian looked over at me and ran over and pounced on top of me. I fell on my back with him on top of me.
"Brian! Get off!" I said as he continuously kissed me.
"Nope!" he said as he started tickling me. I kicked my feet. "Oh so now you're gonna start being a girl and start kicking instead of fighting back? That's not fair!"
"So?" I said sticking my tongue out at him. Lillian shook her head and walked out the door, shutting it behind her. I pushed him off of me and got on top of him and started tickling him.
"How ya like them apples?" I said laughing at his facial expressions.
"What about apples?" he said between laughs.
"Sorry, I watched "Good Will Hunting" last night. Ya know, that movie with the hottest guy in the history of the world in it?" I asked. I stopped tickling him and just sat on his stomach.
"I'm not in that movie!" he said laughing.
"No, I was talking about Matt Damon."
"You think that guy is hot?"
"Yeah! But not half as hot as you!" I said pinching his cheeks again, then kissing his nose lightly.
"Aww...stop it!" he said pretending to blush again. I laughed and crawled off of him. He rolled over and watched me go over to the poster on my wall and start to take it down carefully. "You have a poster of us on your wall? How sweet!" he said standing up and walking over to me. He wrapped his arms around me from behind me and kissing my neck softly.
"Of course I have a poster of the Backstreet Boys on my wall! I am so in love with that one member...I think his name is...Nick Carter?" I said looking at the poster. He stopped kissing my neck and looked at me with a sad look on his face. "You know I'm fucking with you, right?" I said laughing. He smiled and nodded.
"No, I really thought you wanted my best friend. Yeah, that MIGHT happen." I laughed and turned around, wrapping my arms around his neck.
"You know I love you, right?" I said kissing him lightly.
"Of course I know you love me! You don't have a choice!"
"Well, thanks a whole damn lot!"
"Oh, you were expected me to say I love you too, weren't you?"
"Well...I was sort of hoping...ya know..."
"Girl, you KNOW I love you! Must I even say it?"
"Yes!"
"I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you," he said smiling.
"Damn right you love me!" He laughed and pulled me closer to him. He leaned down and kissed my lips lightly.
"Well come on, we gotta finish getting you packed! We're leaving tonight at about 7:30 and I want you to show me a little bit of Chicago before we leave, so we gotta hurry!" he said pulling me over to the box in the center of my room.
"Oh alright!" I said walking back over to the poster on my wall and taking it down carefully. I rolled it up nicely and placed it in the box carefully.
