Chapter 4

After breakfast, the cordless phone on the kitchen desk rang.

Brian grabbed it up. "Hello?"

"Hi."

Brian rolled his eyes with a smile. "Hey Frack, what's up?"

Nick sighed. "Nothin... I'm bored. That chick show up last night?"

"Uh, yeah she did. I was thinking you all could come over and meet her sometime today." He smiled at Kyra.

Nick paused. "Yeah, maybe. So does she look like you?"

Brian let out a laugh. "I really don't know Nick, I guess so."

Nick nodded, even thought Brian couldn't see him. "Ok. Well I guess I'll be over in a while."

"Ok man, I'll see ya."

Brian hung up the phone and grinned at Kyra. "Guess who's comin to see ya?"

"Uh... lemme guess. Nick?"

Brian gasped in mock shock(:)). "ESPN!"

Kyra giggled. "It's ESP dork."

Brian nodded quickly. "That's what I said."

She hopped off the stool she was sitting on. "Yeah ok."

"So show me around your house, since I'm gonna be here for quite a while."

Brian swallowed the last of his orange juice. "Ok, where do you wanna start?"

After about 15 minutes of looking around, the doorbell rang.

They both ran down the stairs, trying to get to the door first.

Kyra got there first, but Brian wasn't able to stop in time, so they both went flying into the closed door.

The door opened at the two lay there on the ground. They saw a blonde head poke around the side.

"Hmmm... I believe incest is illegal in all 50 states guys."

Brian jumped up and gave his hand to Kyra, helping her up. "You're funny man."

Nick shut the door behind him as he entered the house.

He smiled at Kyra. "Hi."

She smiled back. "Hi Nick."

Brian stood behind her and grabbed her shoulders, shaking her violently. "This is Kyra."

She shrugged him off and hit his arm.

Nick was surprised that they were so affectionate with each other, just meeting the other day.

He took a good look at her. She didn't really look like Brian, but she did have the same bright blue eyes.

He didn't exactly love the obviously dyed black hair, but she was still pretty.

The three spent the afternoon talking and getting to know each other better.
