Floor Art

My love of paint continues to grow as I discover new products on the market that make painting a joy. There is literally no limit to what a person can paint as long as they prepare the surface correctly. I believe that art takes many forms and that is why I named this page Floor Art and consider my floor a work of art. It's definitly not just a concrete floor anymore. I decided that if I was going to paint it, I was going to have fun. Once I started thinking of all the options, well........

Stepping Stone in Entry

This stepping stone greets you as you walk through my front door.

Large Stepping Stones

This section of floor is in my hallway. I wanted large stepping stones leading to a door that I will eventually paint to look like a fountain. I may have the water trickle down the fountain, over the river rock and around the stepping stones.

Tiled Alcove

This is a little alcove, so it was a perfect spot to try a tiled look. I wanted to rest the viewers eye. I intend to add another tile to the left to balance the effect.

Hall Floor with River Rock

This section of hall leads off the stepping stone area. I wove the river rock into the flag stones to avoid a formal geometric look.

Tiled Center Section

This section of floor is in the center of my living room. I wanted a tiled rectangle so I used stencils, bordered it and surrounded it with the brick pattern. It glares, and there was no way I could get the entire section, but you get the idea. I am no photographer, for sure!
