This is my protest page in support for Mike Tang, or just Tang as everyone calls him. Just recently, Tang ran into a bit of a problem. His family is moving from here in Palm Coast, FL to California. The move was a bit delayed by this problem.
Tang, who just graduated from Flagler Palm Coast High School, tried to pick up his diploma early so that he could make the move easier. Larry Hunsinger, the principal, refused to let him do so. When leaving the office, Tang said, "Larry sucks." This got him suspended, and also resulted in his losing title of valedictorian, which has gone to Kelly Walker. (Don't get me wrong, Kelly's deserving of high rank, but Tang should've still gotten the #1 position) And to top it all, Mike was not permitted to be in the graduation ceremony. This is worst of all. It's a once in a lifetime thing, and he was forced to miss it. C'mon, people!
And since then, everyone I've talked to says Tang should've walked the graduation and should've gotten valedictorian. I've even heard that at the rehearsal, a lot of people, during the diploma presentation, refused to shake Larry's hand - which is part of the "ritual," - out of protest for Mike.
