"Arica?" Her father shook her the next morning. "ARICA!" He screamed.
Arica was lying on the floor of her bathroom, a bottle of prescription pills at her side.
"Arica." Her father sobbed.
He and Amanda drove in silence behind the ambulance with Arica inside.
"Call that Kevin fellow." Amanda's father said suddenly. Grimly, Amanda dialed the police station where Kevin was being held. After being explained the situation, Kevin was allowed to speak.
"SHE DIDNT?!?" He screamed into the phone.
"She did." Amanda whispered.
"I have to get out of here. I have to see her."
"She's not going to make it, Kev."
"Yes she is. She's faking it was a set up, it was all a set up."
"Kevin... it's over." She could hear his sobs.
"She said... she said it was just going to be a set-up." He sobbed.
Amanda didn't know what to say. After hanging up, Kevin walked back to his cell. And it was the last time anyone heard from him.

26 year old Kevin Richardson and 17 year old Arica Harris both committed suicide within 24 hours of each other.
Harris was said to have committed suicide as a "set-up" for her father according to her old sister, Amanda. Amanda was the last to speak with Richardson, before the former pop sensation hung himself.
Arica's father described it as being, "tragic, I almost feel as if it is my fault."
Kevin's cousin Brian stated that, "their love developed so fast, and it was weird how none of us knew. But he was my cousin, and my best friend and I will miss him."
Many teenagers are mourning the death of the fallen star, but why would he give up his life for someone he barely knew? It was the question on everyone's mind. Were they in love? Before hanging himself, Kevin wrote a note stating that their love, "could go over any obstacle. We can now be together. No bars, no father, no nothing between us."
