Chapter Ten

Micki sat in the middle of an empty room and cried. She was scared, angry, hungry, thirsty, and frustrated. Matt was off, he had locked her in a tiny room, where she could barely breath. She had a splitting headache, that pounded at the front of her head. She rubbed her temples and wiped her tears. She needed to find a way out of here. She looked around the room and saw a little window on one side of the room that was open, but impossible for her to fit threw. She walked over to the window and looked out. She was in the middle of nowhere. Trees and woods was all she could see. She sighed and began to think of a plan. She need a phone or a way to get out. If only she had a phone. She looked over at the door and decided it was time to somehow pick the lock. She looked around the room to see what she could use. Nothing was in the room though, but a bed and a blanket. Not even a pillow! "Damn," Micki muttered as she began to run her fingers through her hair. She felt a bobby pin from when she had pinned her hair up two nights ago. "I should've never agreed to talk to him," Micki scolded herself. She took the bobby pin out of her hair and began to pick the lock. Finally the lock clicked and Micki stared at it shocked. She did it! She walked over to the window and looked out to make sure Matt wasnt coming or anything. He said he went to get some food or something. She opened the door and walked out into the emptiness. She walked down a hall and into where Matt had done things to her. Things she didnt want to remember or think about. She saw a phone sitting on the floor across the room and stared at it and smiled. She ran over and picked it up and pressed nine and one. She heard a car door slam. "Fuck!"Micki shrieked. She slammed down the phone and ran to the room, locking the door as she went in. She layed down on the bed and closed her eyes, to pretend she was sleeping. She heard Matt unlock the door of the room and the door sqeaked open as his footsteps got louder against the concrete floor. She felt his eyes peering over her. She opened her eyes and saw Matt looking down at her. "Good, you're awake," Matt said smiling. "Not for me," Micki mumbled. "I got you some food bitch, you better be glad," Matt yelled. Micki jumped and stared at him, fear clouding in her eyes. "Follow me," Matt ordered. Micki got up and followed Matt out of the room and down the hall to the room with the phone. Two McDonalds bags sat on the floor. "Here," Matt said handing her a bag. Micki took the bag and sat against the wall and began to eat. She ate slow, so he wouldn't bother her. Micki eyed the phone, wishing Matt would leave for just one minute. "I have to piss," Matt said leaving the room. Micki jumped up and ran to the phone, she looked down the hall to make sure he wasnt coming. She picked up the phone and dialed 911. "911, what's you emergency?" said the operator. "I've been kidnapped, help me," Micki whispered. "Do you know where you are at?" the operator asked. "No," Micki answered glancing down the hall. "Do you know the person who kidnapped you?" she asked calm. "Matthew..." Micki felt a fist hard in her back. She dropped the phone and landed on the floor. She layed there, unable to do anything. Matt hung up the phone and dragged Micki to the room and locked her in there. "Fucking bitch! I'll kill you!" Matt shouted as he walked down the hall. Micki slowly got out of the bed and looked out the window, terrified for her life. She didn't even cry, she couldn't. She was too scared. Matt got in his car and drove off. She looked around for the bobby pin and finally found it, on her bed. She picked the lock and got out successfully. She ran out of the house, her back killing her, but she had to ignore the pain. She hid far enough in the woods, but still enough to see the tracks from the car so she knew exactly where she was going. By dark it was cold and Micki was tired. She was still walking the trail when she saw headlights. She ducked down, figuring it was Matt. She saw that the headlights were too up high to be Matt's car. She jumped out of the woods and jumped up and down, ignoring the sharp pains in her back . "Stop!" she screamed. The car stopped and two people got out. It was a police car. Thank God! "Micki?" called a comforting male voice. "AJ!" Micki shrieked and ran to the figure. She jumped on him, wrapping her legs around his waist. She sqeezed him hard and cried. AJ held her just as tight. She heard him crying too. She kissed AJ's face over and over, showering his whole face with kisses. "I love you so much!" Micki cried. "Baby, I love you," AJ said. "How'd you know where I was?" Micki asked. "I got a call from the police, Matt confessed," AJ told her. He was still holding her. Micki got down and snuggled close to AJ. He held her in his arms, running his fingers through her hair. "I thought I'd never see you again," Micki said. "You cant get rid of me that fast. I'm so glad you are ok, did he hurt you?" AJ asked. "Can we just go home first and talk about it then?" Micki asked. "We need to take you to the hospital, first baby," AJ replied. Micki nodded and AJ and her got into the cop car and the cop began to drive. He didn't speak a word.
