"AJ!!" I screamed jumping into his arms. Megan ran to Nick enveloping him into a huge hug. Leah and Brian were already making out.
"He like us!"I shrieked.
AJ was beaming just as much as I was. AJ set me down and kissed me. I was so excited. We had just gotten back from our meeting and the guy signed us right away. He said he saw us making it big.
We're going to start recording Monday. It was Wednesday, so we had enough time to get our excitement out.
"Come on, let's celebrate," Nick called as him and Megan rushed out the door.
"We'll take you girls out," Brian declared.
I looked up at AJ and smiled.
"You guys got really lucky. Its weird how you guys didnt even send in a demo tape," AJ smiled.
"Robert's uncle is the producer who works for Jive, we just have connections," I said softly.
"Well Im really happy for you," he smiled.
"Thanks," I beamed.
We got into our cars and Nick led the way. When we got to the beach we all went into a restuarant on the beach and ordered ourselves some burgers.
"This is so exciting," Leah gushed.
"Even Micki's tongue ring didnt make her sound funny," Megan pointed out.
"Good thing too. I dont even think that guy noticed it," I said thoughtfully.
"Yeah," Leah agreed.
"I guess I have to call my boss," I announced.
"Yeah, I dont think he'll be too happy though," Leah said sighing.
"I dont think so either," I sighed with her.
Finally after our meal we left and we all went our seperate ways. AJ and I decided to hang out on the beach.
AJ and I sat close to the water, allowing the water to just barely crash over our feet. AJ had his arm around me and my head was lying on his shoulder. We made a perfect fit and that feeling started to scare me.
AJ looked down at me and kissed the top of my head. I continued to stare out into the endless ocean. My excitment was now replaced with my fear of falling in love. I know I definitly wasnt going to leave AJ, but what if he didnt feel the same way I was feeling. I would be putting my hopes up so high.
I looked up at AJ and realized that he was looking at me the exact same way I was looking at him. I smiled as I leaned in and kissed him. This kiss was different from all the others, it was full of emotion, from both parties.
I smiled as we pulled away.
"You're so beautiful," he told me.
"I love you," I whispered. I couldnt believe I had just said that. My heart was pounding in fear of what he would say. AJ took his arm from around me and moved away from me. His eyes were full of shock.
"Im sorry AJ," I whispered. AJ stood up and started to walk back towards his car. He wasnt about to leave me here! I ran after him.
"Dont leave me here AJ!" I exclaimed.
"Then get in the car," he said softly getting into the driver seat.
I got into the seat next to him and silently scolded myself for letting those three little words slip from my mouth. Now AJ wasnt speaking to me. I wouldve much rathered him to tell me that he didnt feel the same, then I wouldnt have to deal with the silent treatment.
I felt the tears build in my eyes and I tried as hard as I could to keep them from falling. I was almost blinded by them as one fell. I quickly wiped it away before AJ could tell I was crying. He pulled into my driveway and sat patiently while I unbuckled my seatbelt. I looked at him one last time before I got out of the car. He looked like he was a millon miles away.
I walked to my front door and let myself in. No one else was home as I cried and cried as soon as the door was shut. He'll probably never talk to me again.
I stumbled up the stairs to my room and layed down on my bed and cried myself to sleep.
The Next Day~
I sighed as I walked around with Shawn. The park was surprisingly busy.
"Whats wrong?" Shawn asked noticing my gloom mood.
"Nothing," I mumbled. I sure didnt want to tell Shawn how AJ refused my feelings.
"Its AJ isnt it?" Shawn asked.
"No," I lied. Shawn looked at me skeptically. He knew I was lying, but didnt push it.
"Have you told Andrew about your tongue ring?" Shawn asked changing the subject completely.
"No, he hasnt asked," I answered.
"Oh, so how did your audition thingy go?" he asked.
My mood got a little better at the mention of my accomplishment.
"Great, I was signed!" I exclaimed.
"When do you record?" he asked.
"We start Monday. They have a few songs they think we would sing well and then they're getting us a band and songwriters and all that," I explained, beaming.
"Well, I guess I can brag to everyone how you used to be my Jasmine. Have you talked to Andrew?" he asked.
I shuddered at the thought.
"I do that tonight." I explained.
"Cool, good luck," he said smiling.
"Thanks," I smiled weakly.
Later~
"Well, congragulations Micki," Andrew said calmly.
"Thanks," I said softly.
"Have a nice night," Andrew said softly and with that I walked out ofm his office.
I walked to my car and got in. I drove home and when I got in, Brian and Leah were sitting on the couch watching tv.
"Hey sweetie," Leah smiled. I knew they all already knew. I could sense it.
"Im going to take a bath and then to sleep," I sighed walking up the stairs.
I went into my bathroom and started the bath water. I discarded all my clothing and got into the hot bath.
When I was done, I went into my room and layed down. I fell asleep instantly, with nothing more on my mind than AJ.
