My friends Melissa and Jacquie have a great idea. What would they think. It's a campaign to get rid of BSB sex fan fic. I admit, I do have a little sex in my stories. But none is graphic - to the point where I don't think I ever say the word "sex." I just kind of allude to it.
But there are some sites out there that, in my opinion, take it way too far. Fantasy Island, formerly known as Backstreet Pleasure Island, is, in my opinion, the epitomy of these sites. With this in mind, Melissa wrote a letter to one of the owners of BPI, respectfully stating her opinion and the fact that she knows for a fact that Nick and Brian would not approve of their site. Kendall and Kellen responded by posting a series of obscene and angry notices on the guestbook at What Would They Think's main page.
This really, really angered me. Melissa wasn't doing anything wrong, and she's my friend. I learned long ago that you help friends in need. And so I posted a message on the BPI page, stating why I thought that they were wrong. Kellen responded by saying that she used to like my page, but will no longer be coming back because she "thought the webmaster was open-minded."
I am open-minded - to a point. I don't think that this is right. It isn't an expression of free speech so much as it is pornography and libel - what do you think the Boys would feel like if they saw that? I don't feel that I did anything wrong here, so I'm not apologizing for my statements. I do apologize to the people whose stories are hosted on my page, because I have deprived you, through my actions, of at least 1 person who faithfully read your stories. But beyond that, I really don't have anything to say. E-mail me at bsbkaos@hotmail.com and I'll be more than happy to discuss this issue with you.
