"With your E's and your ease and I do one more need a lip gloss boost in your america is it God's is it yours sweet saliva with your E's and your ease and I do one more I know we're dying and there's no sign of a parachute we scream in cathedrals why can't it be beautiful why does there gotta be a sacrifice just say yes you little arsonist you're so sure you can save every hair on my chest just say yes you little arsonist with your E's and your ease and I do one more well I know we're dying and there's no sign of a parachute in this chapel little chapel of love can't we get a little grace and some elegance no we scream in cathedrals why can't it be beautiful why does there gotta be a sacrifice." ~Tori Amos Iieee
I know I would probably be commiting a sin to some Tori fans...taking these lyrics and applying them to something like this...but her music is a gift to us...and today I am using this song in rememberence of all my dead friends.
Over the weekend two more people died. Two more people that had family and friends and meant something to someone. With your e's and your ease and I'll do one more." These people both overdosed on drugs. YES! Drugs are bad for you. But that doesn't make them bad people!
I so sick of hearing people tell me, if your friends are dying from drugs, make better friends. Or change the scene you are hanging out with. Have you people looked around lately? Or are you blind? Everywhere I go people are doing drugs.
The gay scene has the most drugs. Even more than raves. Those are the two obvious. In the rap/hip hop scene you have cocaine, weed, pills...The Country kids are on extacy...the clubbers do drugs...the goths are shooting smack. Artist and coffeeshop kids are all looking for their dose of surrealism too. And even "adults" are doing drugs. I know of someone people at the last two places I have worked...over the age of 27 that are more into drugs than the teenagers. Even the religeous kids are sneaking out of their houses and doing drugs behind your parents backs. You know who you are. But God still sees you.
SO STOP TELLING ME MY FRIENDS ARE BAD! STOP ASSUMING BECAUSE PEOPLE I KNOW ARE DYING I MUST DO DRUGS! YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING! YOU HAVEN'T BEEN THERE. YOU HAVEN'T WALKED A MILE IN MY SHOES!
I went to college with Pat. Brian and I both did. Pat was a beautiful person. He kind of had that bad boy, James Dean thing going for him. He kind of had a punk/rockabilly style. He wore a lot of indigo jeans, punk tshirts, black boots, studded belts...he had black hair and bright blue eyes and pale skin. Irish. Young. Interesting.
Back then, I didn't know much about drugs. I knew they were "bad". Isn't that what our parents instill in us from an early age? I knew Pat did drugs. I knew Pat did a lot. But I didn't know him well enough to have a say in the matter. I never thought I would get a call at three in the morning saying he ODed. I never thought the call would be from Brian who saw him die, outside Masquerade on a park bench. It's really sad and shocking.
I can't say for 100% sure that he is dead. The ambulance came. Checked his pulse and gave each other a look. Then they just drove him away. I've tried calling the ambulance companies. One of them was great. The other lady was rude, callous and a bitch. The hospitals need a last name...and for the life of me I can't remember now that I need to. So, now I'm hoping, but most likely in vain, that it's not true...but all signs lead to gone...::Sigh::
The second death this weekend was Brian, Josh, and Amy's good friend. The story that I have is that he overdosed on a pill. Extasy. With your e's and your ease and I'll do one more." Everyone is very upset about his death. Some people have taken it as a sign and stopped doing drugs. Sadly others are fighting and making accusations.
It's such a waste of life...Such a waste
