tale
The story always seems to be the
same. Tales of past bands and hardcore
folklore, set against the back drop of a
scene that has gone thru many changes.
The
WARDOGS have their own history, past
experiences, and tragadies, but refuse to
quit.
This crew has been long since
remembered for the now infamous POINT OF
ANGER shows in 94' and 95' that pretty much
set
the pace for their hardcore attitude, being
outcast in their own scene due to a surge of
ego-driven local promoters at the time.
Though POA still thrived, the death of bass
player and friend K.B. sent things in a
different direction and the band broke up.
Rob and Ralph continued their music in the
hardcore band SICKNESS, soon after forming
the skaterock/punk band, KRYPTDADDIES with
Alan on bass, and Paul Wren as frontman. The
played together and rocked until personal
differences ended the band in 98'.
But
Rob's hunger for hardcore reunited him with
former POA frontman Chewface. Thus you have
the WARDOGS, the band that dictates
the pace for hardcore in Melbourne. With
years of music and scene politics behind them
they have begun an assault of hardcore mayhem
in a town that once turned their back on
