Hear the latest from cutting edge bands from Projekt music! And other recording labels. Each track you hear took a sort of special consideration to the thought provoking or emotional effect it has. Some are melancholy, others sensuous but all are delicately dipped and tainted in 8 hours of ambient darkness. On the air 24 hours a day.

Live Broadcasts!
What is usually heard on
Art Of Darkness is a rotating playlist of over 150 songs with recorded voice
over updates. On occasion, live shows are being broadcast for your requesting
pleasures. An eclectic variation of music is usually heard on these live shows
with DJ Cyn Surreal. To be informed of the showtimes, please subscribe to the newsletter.
The History:
On October of 2001, this station was first
established to enhance the art displayed at darkdoors.com. In understanding
it's origin, the music was chosen to reflect the inspiration used while creating
the dark art in the gallery. With every
addition to the broadcast, some songs are removed and others put in their place.
With it's recent popularity and need for more music, the playlist has expanded
with luscious new tracks from unsigned artists and artists of major recording
labels.
Why
this music?
On this station you will hear: Ethereal, Shoegazer, Darkwave, Gothic, Opera,
80s New Wave, Coldwave, Ambient, Middle Eastern Chant, Celtic. Some might even
be trip-hop and ambient techno. A statement on genre is not made here. Each
song is picked with a delicate consideration on the effect it has. The tracks
move you in a brink of tears, ecstasy, haunting or nostalgic memories. Exploring
the beauty of being a feeling human. This is the music that makes me feel. I
love sharing it with you.
There are some
who feel there is a certain inner sensuality in reaching into the depths of
the human psyche. There we find the harbored tears, regrets, happy forgotten
memories and dormant creativity. Our "Dark Doors". Some songs bring
out depth hiding inside and these thoughts can be followed into a personal journey
of the self. Use this broadcast for background music with your art (as I do),
while working or play.
