The Mirror. This is the mirror that goes with the vanity table. The frame is of the same material and the design is similar to the door and window casing used throughout the house. Part of the woodwork that was already up in the bathroom had to be cut out to let the mirror hang flush against the wall. After the light fixtures were put up (had to cut holes in the wall behind the mirror) and the mirror hung – we could complete the top rail of the board and batten wall treatment, including the shelf that starts near the entry door and continues around above the toilet and now ends near the mirror. On the wall opposite the vanity there are hooks under the shelf for towels, bathing suits, etc.. The round white blank electrical cover plate above the mirror has since been painted to match the wall – so it does not stick out so much. July 2004
