Osprey*
A common permanent resident of lakes and pits. Formerly scarce in the winter but now common throughout the year. Over 75 nests can be seen in a day during breeding season. A high count of 77 individuals found in late June 1996. LCBC high count of 105 in 2003 and 74 in 1997. (SSC)
