Time for a Tournament
We had arrived in New Benlen City! Good time had been made because we arrived the afternoon before the big day. We traveled to the nearest Pokemon Center only to find there was one room left. We usually took up two but it had to do. As soon as we got into our room we all took a nap. We awoke later that evening. The Pokemon Center attendent handed me a letter. I opened it and found that there would be a mandatory dinner for all trainers who wanted to be in the tournament. Akian would explain prizes, rules, etc. I folded the letter up and put it in my pocket. The dinner started in 20 minutes. We had to hurry. I told the others and we started towards the New Benlen City Civic Center, where the dinner would be held. We arrived about 4 minutes early. We all meet Akian personally. He was a very nice man. He was probabley in his 30's. He wouldn't tell us anything about the tournament tough. He led us to our chairs around the huge table. As soon as we were entered we were asked to sign a paper saying that we would enter the tournament. There must have been about 70 people in the room. Salad was served first while Akian introduced himself. Then we ordered apitizers. I had some buffalo wings. After everyone was finished Akin started talking about the tournament. We were informed there were 50 people entering. Exactly 24 of those people would leave empty handed by the end of tomarrow. This would be determined by judges simply seeing your Pokemon in action, not against another Pokemon but against a dummy. After that it would be a simple Bracket tournament. All trainers had to pick three Pokemon. They used these Pokemon throughout the tournament. He told us to pick up the prize sheet as we left. On that sheet there would also be an itinerary. After that, Akian sat down and we had dinner. Before the main dish came I ran and grabbed three sheets. One for each of us. It looked like this
