Part Nine: The Storm
We walked along an open trail that would lead us to Cling Town. We saw quite a few Pokemon, but most we already had. We could smell it; a storm was coming in. We were fine until it started sprinkling. We were in the middle of nowhere and it was raining. Then it started to pour. We pedaled as fast as we could but couldn't see any shelter. It was about Six o'clock and it was getting dark. Lightning hit all around us, there was the occasional tree but they provided little to no protection. Half of these trees had been struck by lightning. The other halves were all being hit by lightning. If there were no trees around we might get hit. We could barely hear ourselves when we talked. We were screaming at each other. Mainly because that’s the only way you could hear someone but we all wanted to go different ways. We went Mike's way and we pedaled on for about ten minutes. "Hey guys do you here something" mike screamed through the wind and rain. We didn’t and replied no. Mike kept hearing something and started to veer left. We followed; it wasn't the smartest thing to do because we wouldn't know were the trail was in this rain. Soon we heard it too. It sounded like a Pokemon. what could it be? The wind, rain, and thunder blurred the voice. It sounded as if the voice were all around us. Mike thought he knew where to go so we followed him. Suddenly we saw light. It almost looked like firelight. We went towards the light and as we got closer we found out what it was. A Charmander! A Charmander shouldn't be out in heavy rain. It could die! It was inching along on the ground. It looked very weak. "What do we do?" A.J. yelled? Mike reached to his belt and through out a pokeball. It was filled with Pokemon food. The Charmander ate and got a little energy. He threw another pokeball. This time catching the Charmander. "We've got to find" a pokecenter or this Charmander is going to die. Mike whom usually road a little slower than A.J. and I was pedaling furiously and ahead of us. About ten minutes later we saw a sign for Cling Town. I wasn't sure they even had a pokemon center. We road up to the front gates of the city as fast as we could. A lady was in a both. Mike showed here the Charmander, let us in, and took of with Mike in a motorcycle. A.J. and I got to the Pokecenter about ten minutes later. Mike was peering through the glass of the emergency room. "How's he doing" A.J. asked. "They don't know" Mike replied. We just stood there and watched for about an hour. The operating sign went off and we rushed to the door. "Is e O.K." Mike franticly asked? "Yes he will be fine," the Doctor said. You can see him tomorrow morning. He can get out of hear at about noon. We slept well that night and got Charmander out of there at noon. Mike was extremely happy. He named his Charmander Rain. Charmander was very friendly, especially to Mike. We set of again, this time walking with some of our Pokemon. I had Jynx out, Mike had Charmander, and A.J. had Squirtle.
