Part Fourteen: Bye

We set out at a regular time the next day. Nothing really happened until about 3:00 o'clock in the afternoon. We saw people up ahead, maybe a group of five. About three of the people left the group as we walked up. To our surprise it was Paul and Andy. The now had a new companion with them now, we soon found out his name was Mark. We talked trash at each other for about five minutes until Mike broke us up, this making Andy ticked off (who was enjoying our conversation). Mike challenged him to a battle; I would fight Paul next, and then A.J. against Mark. Mark sent out a Magneton, and Mike sent out his Charmander. Mark started off with a Thunder Bolt!! We knew right away Mike would lose. Charmander got up a used Ember. Barley affecting Magneton it used Thunder, luckily for Mike it missed. Still more fire shot out of Charmanders mouth. Magneton didn't care. It used Thunder wave, paralyzing Charmander. Mangneton hit him with a Thunder, then a Thunder Shock, followed by a Thunder Bolt. Charmander was knocked out by the time he used the Thunder Shock. Magneton kept attacking. Thunder, Thunder Shock, Thunder Bolt, if this kept up he could KILL Charmander. Mike had to do something; another Thunder and it would be death for his Pokemon. Mark called one last Thunder, it shot from the sky, and Mike saw it coming. Suddenly he dived, right on top of Charmander. Mike was rolling all over the grass. He was seriously hurt. Andy pulled out a cell phone and called an ambulance. We aided Mike and thanked Andy; I now had a little respect for at least Andy. The ambulance got there in about fifteen minute. We rode with him. He needed to be there for at least a week. We had to move on. With now our group size reduced to three, we said our good byes to Mike and left. We stayed in the town pokecnter. We didn't sleep very well that night. Maybe it was because we ere admiring how brave and how much Mike cared about his Pokemon, or maybe we were just thinking that we would only have two members of the team from now on. Maybe he would catch up to us but probably not. We were just glad he was O.K., and that Charmander was O.K. Slowly at about 3:00 o'clock in the morning we fell asleep.
