"Brian, come on, lets just get this done" Kevin ordered.

"Kev, you don't understand, I get to see Luc today!!!" Brian gushed. "Its been a week, and I miss her!" He added.

"Bri, come on, the sooner we get this done, the sooner you can see her" AJ laughed.

"Ohh, umm, your right. Come on what are you waiting for!!" Brain yelled playfully and they finished up a song.

"Stupid homework" Lucy sighed with a look at discussed at she throw her books aside. Now that she was done. "Man, I miss B, why hasn't he come to see me?" Lucy asked herself. Her and Taylor decided just to be friends, nothing more. Lucy made a friend named Sara, but they weren't close or anything yet.

** "HEY LUCY. COME HERE, I GOT SOMETHIN' FOR YA!!!" Kevin yelled up to Lucy.

"Hold On Kev" She yelled back, she turned off her CD player and ran down the steps. There see saw, all the guys.

"Hey Guys!" Lucy smiled brightly.

"Hey girl" Howie smiled back.

"Hi Brian" Lucy said more quiet.

"Hey" He replied, just as quiet.

"Umm, maybe you and Lucy should talk" Kevin suggested to Brian. Brian nodded and him and Lucy walked up the steps.

"Daddys G, I have missed you so much" Brian sighed, now "daddys girl" was shortened to "Daddys G".

"Why didn't you say bye last week?" Lucy whispered.

"Lucy, I'm sorry, but all this has put me and Kevin in a weird position, we, fight alot more, only cuz, he needs to keep you safe, not that I don't, but anyway, were trying to work things out, where I can spend more time with you" Brian tripped over his words.

"Whatever, oh guess what? Me and Taylor are going out" Lucy told.

"What???" Brians head shot up.

"Yeah, were really close" Lucy smiled.

"What??" Brian again yelled.

"Gotcha!" Lucy giggled.

"Ohh you" Brian laughed and pined her to her bed.

"Get off me Mr." Lucy ordered with a smile.

"Nope, not until you tell me how much you missed me" He replied.

Lucy laughed "What makes you think I missed YOU??" Lucy asked.

"Cuz, I know, I know how you feel" Brian said.

"Get a life, anyway, about last week, its not gonna happen again" Lucy told, pushed Brian off her and went to put her book bag in her closet.

"Ohh yeah?" Brain smiled.

"Brian, it will not happen again" Lucy again stated.

"Luc, you know it gonna happen" Brian said, to get Lucy going.

"Brian, get a life" Lucy rolled her eyes and sat on her bed.

"Lucy whats wrong?" Brian asked sitting next to her.

"Nothing"

"Luc, don't give me that, I know something’s wrong"

"Brian, nothing is wrong, I mean, I'm doing great, I have a friend, wait, I have 2 new friends. Taylor and Sara." Lucy smiled.

"Luc, look me in the eye, and tell me, that your fine" Brian challenged.

"I'm fine" Lucy said looking in his blue eyes.

"No your not, whenever your sad or tired, your eyes get really really dark brown" Brian stated above a whisper.

"Then maybe I'm tired" Lucy stated.

"Lucy!!" Brian sighed.

"What?"

"I, Luc, come on, tell me"

"Nothing is wrong, what do I have to DO to make you listen to me!" Lucy yelled.

"Luc, calm down" Brian stated.

"NO BRIAN, JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" Lucy yelled and laid down on her bed.

"Lucy, I'm gonna go now, since you don't seem to want me here, tell me one thing, has anything changed?" Brian asked. "You know, since our little kissing thing?" He added.

"Nothing" Lucy whispered. Brian gulped, he walked over to Lucy, to say goodbye.

"Lucy, I'm gonna go"

"OK"

"Bye Daddys Girl" Brian whispered, he went to kiss her cheek, but Lucy tensed up and pulled away. Brian slowly and quietly walked outta the room. Then down the steps.

"Bri, how'd it go?" Nick asked.

"Not good, shes won't really talk to me. Not like we use to anyway. But look, I'm gonna go, I'll see you all, sometime" Brian sighed and walked out the door, then took off in his jeep.

"I'm gonna go talk to Lucy" AJ said.

"Okay" Kevin nodded>

"Hey Luc?" AJ questioned and walked into the room.

"AJ, I don't wanna talk right now" Lucy said.

"Ok, but you know Brian left, he seemed kind of upset" AJ stated.

"Like mad?" Lucy questioned, as her head shot up.

"No, not mad, kind of like. Sad maybe, scared, worried" AJ listed.

"Thats enough, do you know where he would of gone?" Lucy asked.

"When hes like this, he mostly goes to see his parents. So.." AJ trailed off.

"No, hes not there, I can tell, hes somewhere else, hes at the park. AJ go get him please" Lucy asked.

"Lucy, are you sure hes there?" AJ asked, while giving her a weird look.

"Yes, hes there." Lucy insisted.

"Ok, I'll get going" AJ said ran down the steps.

AJ pulled up to a park, and sure enough, Brian sat on a bench. AJ slowly walked over to him.

"Girl if I could right, the wrongs that made you cry" Brian lightly sang, not hearing AJ walking up to him.

"Brian!" AJ stated.

"Bone, man you scared me" Brian sighed.

"Sorry man, Bri, why don't you come back to Kev's?" AJ suggested.

"Na, I think I'm gonna go back to our place" Brian stated.

"Lucy missed ya man, even if she try's not to show it, she does, she even knew you were here" AJ stated with a smile.

"What? How?" Brian asked.

"I don't know. Maybe the same way you knew she was in trouble, and went to New Mexico to get her" AJ whispered.

"Wow, maybe" Brian breathed.

"But, I'm gonna go home, I need to think" Brian said, he got up and hopped in his jeep, then took off.

AJ sighed, he looked at Brian’s jeep head towards there house, they shared.

"Lucy, are you ok?" Megan asked when Lucy finally came outta her room.

"I've been better" Lucy sighed and grabbed a cookie outta the a jar.

"Luc, where’s Brian?" Nick asked.

"I know he left but, where to?" He added

"He went to the park, AJ, as you know, went after him" Lucy forced a smile and sat down on Nicks lap.

"Well, make your self comfy" Nick smiled.

"Why thank you" Lucy smiled back.

"So, have you talk to Tess latly" Lucy asked.

"Umm, yeah, shes doing good" Nick smiled.

"I'm BACK!!!" AJ yelled coming into the house.

"HURRY RUN!!!" Lucy yelled, as everyone laughed.

"Very funny, Dork" AJ shot.

"Shut up loser" Lucy giggled.

"Ahem anyway, where’s my baby dork??" Lucy smiled brightly.

"Luc, he went home, he wanted time to think" AJ said.

"Oh, um, ok" Lucy said, she got up and grabbed a can of coke outta the fridge and sat in he own chair.

"Was he at the park?" Lucy asked.

"Yeah, he was" AJ replied his eyes wide.

"How'd you know?" AJ asked.

Lucy shrugged. "I really don't know, gut feeling I guess"

"Well, let plain your Sweet 16 party" AJ suggested.

"Wow, I forgot about that, its in 2 weeks" Sighed Lucy.

"Yeah, so you gotta tell us what you want, and we'll take care of everything!" AJ smiled brightly.

"but"

"Lucy, we'll get everything, we'll have a DJ, everything" Howie smiled.

"Ok" Lucy gave in.

"Great" Nick smiled.

"Ok, I want my colors to be pink and purple" Lucy began.

THE NEXT DAY

"Yes Saturday!" Lucy smiled to herself, and hopped outta bed to see Nick standing there.

"Nick! What are you doing in my room??" Lucy asked.

"Well, were gonna go shopping for your party" Nick smiled.

"Were? Meaning you and me?" Lucy asked slowly.

Nick smiled "No, me you and Brian"

"Ohh" Lucy said in a whisper. "I'm gonna get in the shower, I'll be down in a little while" She added and went into her bathroom.

"Ok, Nick, lets go" Lucy smiled at him, then she saw Brian walk into the room.

"Um ok, lets go!" Nick agreed and the 3 headed out the front door, and into Nicks car.

"Nick, now, your not gonna kill me are you?" Lucy asked, only half joking.

"NO! I'm a good driver" Nick offended.

"Yeah right, and me and Lucy are gonna get married" Brian laughed, Lucy looked at him.

"Yeah Nick" She added.

"Bri, why don't you get in the back, theres not much room up here" Lucy smiled.

"Well, if your fat butt wasn't up here, then there would be room" Brian shot.

"MY FAT BUTT, Sorry hon, but my butt is by far smaller then yours" Lucy pointed out.

"Whatever, but I'm not getting in the back, you can" Brian stated.

"Nope, not gonna happen" Lucy smiled smugly.

"Guys, shut up, you have to be quiet so I can drive" Nick ordered.

"Fine" Lucy sighed and leaned her head on the window.

"Hey Lucy, tell me you'll always be my friend" Brian whispered in her ear, as Nick turned the music up REAL loud and drove.

Lucy froze, Brian said this to her when they walked all night, at his parents house.

"Brian, you'll always be my friend" Lucy slightly smiled.

"Whats going on with us?" Brian asked.

"I don't know" She responded.

"Whatever it is, I don't like it" Brian said. Lucy couldn't say anything more, she just took his hand and held it in hers. Brian sighed and rapped his free hand around her, leaned his head on her shoulder and closed his eyes.

"Brian, Lucy, were here!!!" Nick yelled for the 10th time.

"Nick, I know, just thinking, you don't gotta yell" Brian yelled back.

"Brian, don't yell." Lucy lightly stated. Brian's face softened. Then they got out, and into the party store.

"Hey Luc, how about these signs and stuff?" Brian asked.

"Ohh those are perfect" Lucy gushed.

"Kinda like AJ" She added and Brians smiled fell. Lucy and Nick laughed at his reaction.

"Its not funny" Brian huffed.

"Frick, you should have seen your face." Nick laughed harder.

"Lucy, you don't still like AJ do you?" Brian whined.

"What does it matter?" Lucy asked, not wanting to talk about it.

"Cuz, I wanna know" Brian said.

"I don't really really like him, no" Lucy said and walked away.

"She makes me crazy!" Brian gritted his teeth.

Nick laughed "I think you should get with her" He finally stated.

"NO way, shes my friend, I mean a girl friend, is sa’posta make you feel all mushy inside, and Lucy doesn't do that to me, my knees don't go week when I see her. I have no desire to see her topless, you know?" Brian said with a roll of his baby blues.

"Yeah I know what you mean" Nick said, and they went to find Lucy.

"Kev, man come on, at your 16th b-day didn't you play spin the bottle?" AJ asked.

"AJ, its not the point, she to young" Kevin said, Howie, Megan, Kevin and AJ were planning out the party, as Nick, Brian and Lucy, shopped.

"Kevin, shes gonna be 16, get a hold of your self, shes growing up" AJ said.

"Fine, we didn't play spin the bottle anyway." Kevin sighed.

"We played 7 min. in Heaven" He added.

"Ohh even better!!" AJ gushed and wrote it down. Kevin groaned and the rest laughed.

"Hey Lucy, how have you been sleeping?" Brian asked.

"Um, well, I still wake up, but I can fell back asleep fine" Lucy forced a smile.

"Ok, call me if anything gets real bad ok?" Brian asked.

"Sure thing" Lucy replied and they were on there way to a different store.

LATER

"AJ, whos all coming?" Lucy asked.

"Umm, tons of peeps" AJ replied.

"Ok, I don't want Brian or you there" Lucy joked.

"Well, then I'll just leave!" AJ played along and began to leave her room. Lucy giggled and AJ turned around smiling.

"How are you and Brian doing?" AJ asked sitting on her bed.

"Um, good, were getting over, whatever this is" Lucy smiled and laid back on her bed, as her feet dangled over the edge.

"Thats good" AJ smiled, looking at her.

"Mmm hmm" Lucy agreed stairing at AJ.

"One last kiss?" AJ stated, more asking then anything.

"One last kiss" Lucy smiled, AJ smiled back, he leaned over her, and kissed her lips lightly, at first, and as if on key, Brian walked through the door.

"BRIAN!" AJ jumped up.

"I'm sorry" Brian said, and left, shocked he didn't have a bad reaction, Lucy let out a deep breath.

"Lucy, I wish things were different, god knows I like you alot, but I know Brian loves you, and things with us wouldn't work" AJ said.

"I know, but hey at least your a good kisser, and I got to find that out." Lucy giggled.

"Seeya kid" AJ laughed, kissed her both her cheeks, then lips and left her bedroom. Right away going to look for Brian.

Lucy smiled to herself, she knew now, she didn't like AJ in that way, but if she ever needed a good kiss, she knew to go to him. :-)

"Bri, can I talk to you?" AJ asked pulling him into Kevin and Megans room.

"Sure" Brian smiled.

"Its about Lucy" AJ began.

"I know, but you know what. I don't care, I know shes a great girl, but shes not for me, so I say go for it" Brian smiled. AJ just gave him a weird look.

"No, I can't, she doesn't feel right, doing that, like, you guys have kissed right?" AJ asked. Brian nodded.

"Ok, she feels real low, like kissing you, then kissing me, like a few weeks later, know what I mean?" AJ asked.

"Um, kinda yeah, but were not together, she knows that, you know that, she likes you, you like her. So I don't see whats in the way" Brian pointed out.

"You are, that my sound mean, but its not a bad thing"

"Well, ok. But we aren't as close as we were before" Brian sighed.

"No, thats were your wrong, your closer then ever." AJ smiled.

"Maybe, but look, if you truly want her, go get her now, cuz I think, shes gonna be taking, within the next couple weeks" Brian smiled.

"Yeah, hopefully by you" AJ laughed and left.

"Hey Kev, can I take Lucy out?" Brian asked.

"Um, well ok, but have her home by 10" Kevin smiled.

"Kev, thats kinda early" Megan pointed out, Kevin sighed. "Fine 12" Kevin smiled.

"Thanks man, I'll keep her safe" Brain thanked both him and Megan, then headed up to Lucys room. Where she was changing.

"Wooh, Sorry" Brian said and shut the door. Lucy giggled and finished putting her bra on and slipped a backstreet boys tee-shirt on. Then she opened her door and Brian stood there blushing.

"Come on, don't just stand there. Come in" Lucy laughed.

"I am so sorry Luc, I had no clue" Brian stated.

"Bri, its ok, just knock sometime" Lucy smiled.

"Ok, by the way, like the shirt" Brian said.

"Yeah that one, right there, is such a baby" Lucy laughed pointing to Brian.

"No hes not!"

"Ohh yes he is"

"NO HES NOT!!" Brian playfully yelled.

"Shut up, you don't know them I do" Lucy laughed, Brian smiled, and grabbed her hand.

"I wanna take you to get your b-day present from me" Brian said.

"Umm ok, sure" Lucy kissed his cheek. Then they left.

"Brian, were at the mall" Lucy said.

"Duh!!" Brian teased.

"Shut up!" Lucy smiled.

"I missed you so much hon" Brian said and hugged her, standing there in the parking lot.

"I missed you too" Lucy lightly stated and hugged him closer.

"Ok, what store are we going to?" Lucy asked.

"You'll see" Brian smiled brightly and held her hand tighter.

"Come on sweetie, what is it?" Lucy begged.

"No baby, you'll see" Brian teased.

"Gotta give me a hint" Lucy ordered.

"Ok, A hint, here comes the bride" Brian laughed.

"Sorry Brian, but no, I won't marry you" Lucy laughed.

"Good, cuz I wasn't asking" Brian shot back.

"Okay then, give me a real clue" Lucy smiled.

"Well, these not really any hints I can give you. Besides, that its a promise that won't be broken" Brian lightly stated, Lucys heart melted, for the first time, well, with Brian anyway.

"Ok, here we are" Brian smiled, Lucy turned around to see Zale's (Its a jewelry store if you didn't know) She looked at Brian weirdly and he smiled.

"Ok, now come here" Brian smiled, he lead her into the store and a mac came up to them.

"Can I help you?" He asked.

"Um, yeah, I'm here to pick up, something, the ID number is 14192" Brian stated.

"Ohh, so I see" The guy smiled looking from Lucy to Brian. "One moment please" He added and disappeared into the back.

"Brian, what are we doing here??" Lucy whispered.

"You'll see" He stated, Lucy smiled and hugged him tightly.

"Ok here you are, and enjoy" The guy smiled and Lucy and Brian broke apart, Brian took the bag and they left.

"Brian don't tell me I have to wait longer" Lucy sighed.

"Well, me being the mean person I am, I'm gonna take you into the food court and give it to you, right in front of EVERY one" Brian laughed.

"Fine by me" Lucy smiled.

"No, I'm gonna take you to a bridge or something" He stated, then they left the mall.

"Brian come on, what is it?" Lucy asked.

"Babes, its something, you'll see"

"Ok" Lucy smiled as they pulled up to a bridge.

They stepped out of Brians jeep and walked along the side, all quiet. The only sound was the cars going by.

"Lucy, how do you really feel about us kissing and stuff?" Brian asked, when they sat down, and hung there feet over the edge.

"Well, I still feel the same, it didn't really change a thing" Lucy said. "How do you feel?"

"Same" Brian said lightly.

"Good, so gonna show me what it is?" Lucy asked.

"In a little while" Brian smiled. Lucy smiled back, she slipped her arms around his waste, inside is jacket.

"I think your trying to get it outta me, by being sweet" Brian smiled.

"No, I wouldn't do that" Lucy giggled. Before she could say anything else Brian pressed his lips to hers. Then he pulled away to look at Lucy.

"Ok, lets go." Brian said.

"Brian, no, I wanna stay" Lucy said and pulled him back down.

"I'm sorry Luc, It won't happen again, I don't know what came over me" Brian said.

"Its ok"

"Ok, you want the thing now?" Brian asked.

"YES!!" Lucys face lit up.

"Okay, now first off, I want you to know, that this is a sign off a promise from me to you, and It will NEVER be broken, never" Brian stated looking into Lucys brown eyes.

"Ok" Lucy whispered.

Brian pulled out the small bag, then the small case, Lucy smiled, as did Brian, he opened the case slowly, reveling a smooth blue stoned ring, a silver one. Lucy took in a deep breath.

"I want you to know, that you'll always be my friend Lucy, and I love you so much for being my friend. This shows, I promise you, I will always be here for you, ok?" Brian said what he needed to say, his hand was shaken the whole time.

"I love you" Lucy said and kissed he cheek, and hugged him for the longest time.

"Here let me put it on" Brian smiled and he slipped the ring on Lucys ring finger. And kiss her hand after.

"Thanks you so much Brian, I'll always love you" Lucy whispered. Brian smiled and helped her to her feet and the slowly made there way back to the jeep.

The ride back to Kevins was quiet, and Brain even had Lucy home before 11, when they pulled up to the house, everyone was still there.

"Were back" Brian called coming into the house. There sat everyone watching a movie.

"Hey you 2, have fun??" AJ questioned.

"Yeah, the best" Lucy replied and kissed Brians cheek.

"Really, so whats going on, anything?" Nick asked, looking at them both weirdly.

"Umm, no, nothing, just our friendship" Brian said.

"Thats good" Megan smiled, then noticed the ring on Lucys finger, she got up and pulled Lucy up the steps.

"I gave it to her" Brian sighed falling back on the couch.

"Thats great, so what did she say?" Kevin asked.

"That she loved me" Brian smiled and looked at the floor.

"LUCY! Where did you get that??" Megan asked.

"Brian" Lucy replied with a BIG smile.

"Wow, its so pretty"

"I know, I love him so much, hes such a good friend" She smiled.

"I'd say" Megan laughed, as did Lucy.

"Guys, I gotta talk to you about something" Kevin said.

"Kevin, we can get you help, you know theres this new institute down town for guys getting older and there brain loosing all its info" AJ joked.

Kevin shot him a look and he stopped laughing. "No, It about Megan" Kevin said.

"Woooh!!!" Brian teased.

"BRIAN!" Kevin moaned

"Sorry" Brian smiled.

"ANYway, I really love her, I'm gonna asked her to marry me" Kevin stated. All was quiet after that.
