Lucy woke up the next morning far before Brian she looked over at his sleeping face and smiled. She got up and hopped into the shower. After she was nice and clean she picked out some clothes, today she actually wore her own clothes, that she bought at the mall one day. She slipped on a pair of jeans and a GAP tee shirt and pulled on some shoes. When she was ready she left a small note and left for a walk.

2 hours later Brian’s dad woke him up.

"Brian, where’s Lucy?" His father asked.

"I, I don't know." Brian said and hopped outta bed he pulled on a pair of jeans and a tee shirt and ran down stairs.

"MOM, have you seen Lucy?" Brian asked as he slipped on some shoes.

"No, last time I saw her was last night" She said with a worried look on her face.

"Man, I gotta find her. I hate when shes not in my site" Brian said.

"Ok Brian, if your not back in 2 hours were going out to look" Harold told Brians smiled hugged his parents and left. Hopped into his jeep and tried to think about where she could be.

Brians thoughts turned back to last night. He smiled. Lucy and him just walk half the night and they both knew that they didn't have to say anything. They just knew that there friend ship would last forever. With out even thinking Brians just suddenly came to the bridge, the one they were at the night before. He saw Lucy looking over the edge she just sat there and he yelled her name.

"LUCY DON'T YOU EVER DO THAT TO ME AGAIN." Brian yelled and pulled her up into a tight hug.

"Brian, I left a note" Lucy told.

"What? You did?" Brian sighed.

"Yeah sweet, I wouldn't just leave." Lucy told and kissed his cheek.

"Wow, ok, you scared the crap outta me." Brian hugged her again and sat next to her.

"Lucy, why did you leave?" Brian asked.

"Don't know, just thinking" Lucy whispered.

"Bout what?"

"Nothing, just stuff" Lucy told not even looking at him.

"Luc, come on, you can tell me" Brian stated.

"No, Bri, its nothing. I'll get over it" Lucy forced a smile.

"No Lucy, you've always told me whats wrong, don't stop now." Brian said taking her hand.

"Brian lets go back ok?" Lucy stated standing up.

"Fine" Brian sighed and they walked back to his jeep and headed back to his parents house.

"Hey Brian see heres the note" Lucy said holding up the small note she wrote that s'morning.

"Ohh" Brian smiled sheepishly.

~RING~RING

"Hello, Littrells place. This is Brian speaking" Brian said into the phone.

"Brian! Its dad. You have Lucy??" He asked.

"Yeah dad shes here. She left me a note, I just didn't see it" Brian giggled.

"Ohh ok, thats good. Me and your mom are going shopping...again. We'll be back in a few hours. Ok?" He asked Brian agreed and hung up the phone.

"My dad. There not gonna be here for a few hours. So we can do whatever." Brian said sitting next to Lucy on the bed.

"What?" She asked.

Brian sighed. "Never mind. Lets just go watch some tv ok?" He asked.

"Sure" Lucy agreed.

They watched tv for a while and Lucy fell asleep. Brian smiled and thought this was a good chance to call Nick.

"Hello, this is Nick and you just woke me up!!" Nick said into the phone, very upset.

"Some ones cranky!" Brian laughed.

"Hey B, where you been?" Nick loosened up.

"I'm at my parents. With Lucy, shes asleep, so I thought I'd call." Brian told.

"Ohh, So hows your girl?" Nick teased lightly.

"Lucys!, fine" Brian stated firmly.

"Hey Bri, I can't get a hold of AJ." Nick told.

"Well hes probably here there and every where. You know AJ." Brian told.

"Yeah" Nick sighed.

"Brian, is Lucy gonna move in with you?" Nick asked.

"No, Nick, shes just staying with me." Brian told.

"B, I haven't hung out with you in soo long. Your always with Luc, I love her shes a great girl. But this is gonna sound really gay. But I miss hangin' with ya" Nick stated.

"Yeah, sorry 'bout that Nick. But how about when I get home, I'll come see ya, then we'll go do something. Just us 2. Lucy can stay with AJ. Wait no, with Kevin" Brian spit out that last part.

"Brian! You said you didn't care about them 2. Besides, AJ wouldn't try anything, He knows your in love with the girl" Nick laughed.

"I know, as friends. I do love her." Brian smiled and looked over at Lucy who was starting to wake up.

"Well Nick, I gotta go. Lucys having a dream." Brian sighed.

"Yeah ok, tell her i say 'hi' and I'll talk to you later!" Nick smiled.

"Alright Frack, see ya!" Brian smiled and hung up the phone. Walked over to Lucy and shook her awake. She woke and looked around, she had tears in her eyes and then saw Brians baby blue eyes looking at her and she rapped her arms around him.

"Lucy, I'm here, no ones gonna touch you." Brian told and laid on the couch next to her. He just laid there and hugged his arms around Lucy and they fell asleep. Brian’s parents walked in the front door with arms full of bags. They looked over at Brian and Lucy, then smiled and brought in more bags.

"Lucy, gotta get up. We have to pack, were leaving tomorrow morning" Brian smiled.

"Ok" She sighed and he helped her up.

*****GETTIN' BACK TO ORLANDO*****

"Were home at last!" Brian sighed with a smile and walked in his front door with Lucy, AJ was sitting on the couch, he just looked at Lucy and tears came to his eyes.

"AJ whats wrong?" Brian asked.

"Lucy, I'm sorry" AJ said.

"What? AJ? Whats going on?" Lucy asked.

"Lucy, your dad. Mark." AJ stuttered. Lucy broke down in tears. Brian started crying too. He just took Lucy into his arms and held her so tight as they all cried.

"AJ, is he gone? My uncle. My dad" Lucy said.

"I'm sorry Lucy, that Rico guy and your real dad. There both in jail." AJ told.

"They killed my dad?" She whispered. AJ nodded and she cried more. She cried 'til there were no tears left.

"This can't be, he can't be gone. I love him. Hes all I have!" Lucy cried.

"Lucy I am so sorry" Brian said with tears in his eyes.

"I gotta go back to New Mexico. I have to!" Lucy screamed.

"Ok, we'll go" Brian said softly.

"Brian it hurts. Its like its not real." Lucy told.

"I know, Lucy, its all gonna be ok. Just stay strong." Brian soothed.

"Yeah Lucy, it'll work ok. You'll see." AJ added.

"Thanks guys. But what happened. How?" Lucy asked.

"Lucy, your real dad found out where you were. Mark, knew that and tried to stop him. But he ended up getting killed in the process." AJ told.

"He died cuz of me" Lucy started crying again.

"No he died because he loved you soo much." Brian told her.

"I miss him." Lucy fell back on Brian’s water bed and cried into Brian’s pillow.

"I'm gonna go call to get plain tickets. We'll all go." AJ quietly stated and walked out the door.

"Brian, what am I going to do with out him. I have no family left. My mothers dead and now my father." Lucy looked up at him with a tear stained face.

"Lucy, you can stay with me. Or with Tess, Cassy, Kelly, I'm sure they would love to have you." Brian told.

"Yeah, but I want my daddy" She cried.

"I know sweetie, I know. Why you of all people. Why do you have to go through this. I love you Lucy, I hate seeing you like this. Its rips me apart." Brian cried.

"Brian, you can do so much better then me" Lucy whispered.

"What? Lucy? Who told you that? Its not true Lucy, your one of my best friends. I love you soo much. Lucy don't say that. Ever!" Brian said and kissed her cheek. Then held her as she cried.

"Um Bri, were all leaving in a few hours. I called Kelly and she said we all could stay are her place." AJ still had tears in his eye.

"Ok, are the others on there way?" Brian asked.

"Yeah" AJ breathed.

*A FEW HOURS LATER*

"Lucy how are you?" Megan asked and put her arms around her.

"I'm not to good. I miss him Meg, I love him" Lucy cried. Megan was always like a second mom to her.

"Its all gonna be ok. Its alright." Megan cried with her. Nick Howie and Kevin also were crying.

****THE NEXT MORNING****

Lucy didn't sleep a wink. Brian stayed up with her the whole time. Just holding her. Singing to her. Whatever he could to calm her down.

"Lucy I am soo sorry. Anything I can do to help?" Cassy asked.

"No its ok. Theres not much anyone can do" Lucy stated bluntly.

"I wis" Kelly was cut of by some one knocking on her door.

"Ohh that must be the people for Lucy!" Kelly stated and ran to open the door.

"Hello, were here to speak to Lucy Lopez." A ladie with long brown started holding a brief case.

"Yeah shes in the other room, come in" Kelly stated and the lady followed her to Lucy, She was crying in Tess's arms.

"Lucy" The lady spoke.

"Hi" Lucy sniffed.

"Hello, I'm Jane, I understand your situation. I am also very sorry for your loss. Its must be hard" Jane stated. Lucy nodded.

"Now, I hope your aware that the funeral with be tomorrow, also by the looks of it you have no close family, so were gonna have to place you in a foster home. Back in Mexico." Jane told.

"No, she can't go, this is her home!" Tess argued.

"I'm sorry but unless she has some one willing to get custody of. Then shes free to stay." Jane added.

Everyone was quiet the Jane was about to leave.

"I'll take her! I want custody of her." Megan started and looked at Kevin.

"Yeah we'll take her in" Kevin told. Everyone was shocked. Even Lucy.

"Are you sure?" Jane asked.

"Yes!" Kevin said, he didn't know what this was gonna do to his career, but he knew he wasn't about to let Lucy leave. Megan looked over at Kevin and smiled.

"Kevin, you, wow, you can't do that. What about your career" Lucy protested.

"It'll be fine! Your living with me and Megan" Kevin smiled at her.

"Thanks Kevin, and Megan" Lucy gave them both a hug and Jane told Kevin and Megan to come to her office after the funeral to talk about it.
