"About Me" Page

First I should tell you a little about myself. My name is Darla, and I am 30 years old. I work for the State Fire Marshal here in Florida and love my job. I have a 7 Year old son named Danny, he is the light of my life. As a mother I can tell you nothing is like it. He currently lives with his father whom "Dearly hates Bikers, and anyone who assosciates with them." So you can now see one of the reasons I left him. I have always wanted to ride and own my own motorcycle, I didn't care what kind, just a bike. Due to my ex that dream was put on hold. My whole view on life changed in February of 1996. I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. They found that I had (4) 1/2 inch size nodules of cancer on my Thyroid Gland that was slowly but surely choking me to death. They successfully removed the gland and treated me with Radiation, therefore I am now 3 years in remission. Now I just have to deal with the medication and weight fluxuations for the rest of my life. I am attempting to form a support group for anyone who has survived this ordeal. I was told there was nothing wrong with me when I went to the Doctor concerning weight gain. This brought my attention to the treatment of women.

Then my life totally changed. I met a good friend online, and fell in love. This man supports me most of the time( just like any man would ), and makes me feel special and beautiful. My relationship with him has opened my eyes to other problems in our world today. This man is totaly Deaf, and I now see what discrimination he deals with daily.

Do you realize that we go out of our ways to help those with wheelchairs, but ignore the deaf?? Have you ever seen closed captioning on Movies Screens?? Do you know that if you fight for your civil rights in court that you will loose most of the time, and there is no attourney that will help you unless you have "LOTS AND LOTS of MONEY".

Enough of that downer stuff. I enjoy riding every chance I get. I love animals more than most folks due. You can tell because Harley Bum and myself have 6 cats (Croaker a Manx, Tiger the monkey cat, Saber the loving orange stripe, Rotty the Tortus Long hair, Slasher the retarded tiger strip, and Harley Fuckin Davidson the little black kitten who has to be with Momma most of the time, and has had 4 kittens one of which is a Hemmingway)

Then we have our precious lil whore dog Dolly. She is an American Eskimo, who loves BIG BLACK CHOWS and LABS. I love this dog so much. If it wasn't for her I would have never met Harley Bum. He wanted to meet in person and I was too scared to till he offered me this special dog.

I will get some photos of "Our Babies" on the Wall of Shame as soon as possible.

If you are having some problems with whom to contact for legal problems, or medical problems feel free to e-mail me and I will attempt to get you the numbers of some government agencies that might help. Remeber that these things take time, and patience, I have discovered this myself, but going through the proper chanels really does get results most of the time.
