Slain Characters/Retired
- Septum Sin- Septum started out as a Lawful good fighter looking for adventure and in doing so ran into a Paladin named Tristam of Eldrenguard. Tristam was looking for a way to free his friend Kord from stasis and to do so he must complete 3 brave deeds. He and Septum traveled together and accomplished all three of these deeds with their cat-boy friend (See heading races of druid world.) After this things took a turn for the worse, Septum and Tristam seperated from the group and went to the village of Alewood. This village was overpopulated by dwarves because of the ale tree in the center of town. A bar had grown up around it and buried at the base of this ale tree was a former member of the party. Tristam went insane when the ale was being sold, so they got the constible to sign a paper nailed to the tree saying "Ale free by penalty of law." A crazy druid (later the flaming druid when Kord set him on fire) gave the party a pack of magical ale mugs and were bid by a cleric of good to plant them and leave. So they did so. Little did they know that Kord followed with a path of destruction claiming the ale trees were an abomination of nature. This is when Tristam and Septum found out a destructive force was headed their way and marched straight for five days without rest until Tristam was driven into temporary insanity. Kord unfortunatly arrived at that time. He had closed the distance the two had walked in a half-hour on horseback and killed Tristam in cold blood after Tristam lay on the ground saying "I;ll kill you all" Kord's claim was that Tristam had threatened to take his life. Septum was forced for a short time to travel with the party but seperated as soon as the nearest oppurtunity appeared. This came about when Septum met Roo, an insane elven fighter that thought he was a grimalkin. (Pic of Roo in drawings section). Septum had cleared out a mercenary town and made it into a holy town divoted to all the gods good and evil. He had become obsessed with this crazy uptaking and set off to make converts. Septum then became aware of his deteriorating condition and decided to allow Roo to lead him around while he recooperated from insanity. Roo then took the sane role and switched it with Septum. They traveled overseas and joined the Bloodrunners. The Bloodrunners were Mannanon's soilders, currupt in every way. Septum and Roo managed to gain the general trust of the group by killing a Draco-Lich and Steve Reeves. They later showed their true colors and burned down a major Bloodrunner base. Septum and Roo then left the land to it's war and went after the rumors of a sword that would make the insane sane once more. They fought a dragon later on and claimed this sword. This blade was called Roland it was a sentient blade with an attitude to match its might. With this in hand he Rejoined the main group for a short while and departed once agian to check on his town. It was in great disorder and he spent a year bringing order back to the chaos before he sought out his friends again. This didn't stop him from running after the man that broke Roo's legs. He killed this man repeatedly and eventually had a truce with him and went back to his town. During Septum's absence his brother Daryth traveled with the party and later revealed himself as an agent of Mannanon's Major guard. He then left the party without a scratch. Septum didn't rejoin the party again until after he had heard the Rumors of Kord's death. His traveling experience with the group ended in an encounter with Kord. He traveled with them for a short while longer but later found himself lacking and left the party agian for his town. Daryth later joined his brother when he had recieved news of Septum's marrage with the high priestess of the god of order, her name was Ralla. He and his brother built the town into a great city and Septum had a son. This was before the faces of destruction came upon the city by an evil antipaladin. Septum was dying but in the end sold his sould to send his wife and child to safety. During his last few moments of life he got to gaze into the eye's of his friend Tristam, back from the dead, Septum has been over the time I've plaied Ad&d the character that was my favorite to play and will most likely always be so.
- Thorin Oreforger- This character is a dwarven warrior originally found In the forgotten relms and later found in the flaming druid world, later to find himself yet again in the land of the forgotten relms. Thorin was a simple minor and weapon smith on the edge of a little town near the thunder peaks (He sucked at both activities) He had originally been a dwarven warrior but had decieded to retire and enjoy his old age. (Boy was he mistaken). Kord Bloodrunner, a young noble, and the only survivor of his house stumbled into his home. Thorin and his wife took Kord in and raised him as his own for the next few years. After Kord had left Thorin hiered an apprentace dwarf by the name of Meldar Rustbucket. Meldar was much better than Thorin but stayed on as his apprentice. The town had become promenantly human and they disliked dwarves, the human council paid Meldar to get rid of Thorin and leave peacefully. All the town needed was a reason and sense Thorin got drunk and violent so often that Meldar saw his chance and stole Thorin's axe while he was passed out and went into town killing five children and then running off with the money the mayor had given him and Thorin with the bloody axe. Thorin awoke from his ditch to the sounds of screaming and took up his axe to realize the blood that was dripping from it. He hid in silence as the mob took his wife and burned her. Thorin ran at that time seeking his runaway apprentice looking for an explaination, He found the dwarf traveling with Kord & company. The two fought until Meldar made a hasty retreat never telling weather he had done the deed. Kord accepted the gruff dwarf into his group with his usual sarcasm. The two got into many fights in all the time they traveled together. (Thorin is one of the few characters to stand up to kord and not back down at kord's warnings.) The group traveled for many years in every town Thorin traveled to towns people would pick him up and shake him down and Thorin was paralyzed unable to stop it. Then one day at a gruff sailor's town he snapped. One of the sailors had been insulting him and struggling as Thorin tried to save him from a fire. Thorin solved the problem by kicking the man in the groin as hard as he could and kicking the man in the temple sending him to unconciousness. Thorin was then made captain of a boat used to navagate the ocean by Kord, because Kord didn't wish to be group leader and therefore promoted Thorin to the job. This ride landed the group to a village of elves. Thorin immediately tackled the first one to the ground and drilled him for info. Kord beat Thorin up and shaved off his beard, making Thorin challenge him numerous other times. After several quests Thorin Drew from the deck of many things and found Death sitting at a particular seat at the bar in a town. Thorin told death that it was his seat and he wasn't going to give it to anyone without a fight. Thorin didn't survive that one. After the next couple of years to save Kord from a crippleing life consuming desease a powerful Chronomancer went back in time and saved Thorin and another giving them the item needed to cure Kord. This is when Thorin re-joined the party. They traveled a few years more until the first fight with the being known as Mannanon. The group barely survived the fight and Kord was forced to leave for disrupting the world's balance. Thorin was left behind to witness the near destruction of the world when the gods went insane and tried to kill each other. Through the chaos Thorin gathered a group of follower and took the country of Drome from the control of Mannanon's foot solders using the very mace that had cracked open many a skull in Mannanon's possession. After ten years the war of the gods subsided and new gods took over for the old ones. Thorin found himself in charge of Drome and did what he did best, he went to war. The surrounding countries on the contenant were absorbed into the country of drome. A kender had fallen from the sky at the day Thorin was planning to travel overseas. He found the creature amusing and found it wasn't the last as portals opened up often dropping creatures from nearly all dementions into the world. Thorin was getting quite old at this time and decided this was the time to work on his country's inner workings. He took up painting and found that he and the kender were sucked into the painting to a world of darkness and death. He was then presented with a powerful artifact battle axe named
- Montello Barazza- This high elf mage was the first character I ever ran. He started out with Kord Bloodrunner in a place called Dead Wind Dale. He traveled with his friends for quite a while, eventually getting hold of a wand of lightning bolt and a ring of fire elemental control. After a near death experience he decided to open up a magic shop with his friend Krad RuneSeeker they showed up on for various camio appearances until Krad set off an explosive rune in a temple. Montello fell into a portal that dropped him on the land of Krynn. He then traveled for a time with a group of adventurers doing the same adventure as in the Chronicals triligy. He found one of Fistendantilus's spell books and was teleported back by Fizban when he said "Man I wish I were back home" he then landed on top of Kord's head in the Forgotten relms. Montello traveled with Kord for a good while and in the end decided to retire to Silvery moon as a researcher.
- Rugar Ratslayer/Lenard the sound- This dwarf was in a family with a history of violence and crudness. Rugar Didn't like this life and was inspired by a beautiful female bard that he wished to become a bard himself. He ran away from home without his father's permission (His father was the chiefton). He hooked up with a rather odd group of adventurers and decided to travel with them in hopes of finding a way to become a bard. He later did find a way to do so, but this way was weighed with danger and hardship. He endured much of this untill the day he died by a banshee in castle Ravenloft. He had made many connections with gypsies and the priests of the church worshiping felines. (This was because he gained the ability to speak cat) He was a wonderful character and it is sad to part with him.
Strange 'uns
- Sergei Claymore- This little halfling had the shortest life span of all of my characters. He was a fighter class specialized in lasso bollas and carving knife. His proficiencies were all spent on artistic ability and he had a wisdom of 5 so he sucked at it greatly. His one redeaming feature was a parrot that he had that said
- Kanar Allenath (K.A.)- This elven thief PC was an interesting Idea I came up with to put the party through several branches of confusion. His first signs of exsistance were items picked up by the kender at various places in the world with the initials "K.A." These things included rocks, sticks and even a shortsword. The party ran into K.A. at Ice-wall castle where he was planning to leave his mark. K.A. volenteered to help the party locate the dragon orb and take it from the castle. K.A. even risked his life by engraving his initials on a dragon's head to save the party. After the party's escape he put his initials on Icewall castle. He staied with the party for a while longer and was replaced with a shape changing draconian while he had been chasing after and rescueing two party members that were abducted by the dragon army. During a party battle the desguised draconian got tired of a female elf's yelling and decided to hide behind her after she stated puching at him. This act lead the party to dislike him immensely. The real K.A. revealed himself to the party with the liberated players when the other K.A. revealed his hand. The two fought to the death. K.A. won but was banished from the party for a deed that he didn't commit. He is presently in the city of Gateway making trouble for the dragon army.
- The Red Cloaked Man- This thief got more than he barganed for when he stole Kord's slippers of spider climbing. Kord beat him up slammed his face into cow pies and then hung the man on an old waterless fountain tied up then finally giving the man a primitive hot-foot. This was not the end of the Red Cloaked Man, he returned as the partial leader of an army bent on concuring Dead Wind Dale. He lead a team of Frost giants and was defeated and had his face scarred up by Kord and some of his toes chopped off. Again, this was not the end. By this time the man wanted revenge and made a deal with a powerful, but stupid Pit Fiend and came up with a maze of horror and danger that Kord had to fight his way through. After completing this trap kord shoved a red hot poker up the ass of the Red Cloaked man. Again this was not the end of the villan. He was finally forced by the Pitt fiend to face off with Kord, One on one with a magical boost and a sword of sharpness. He managed to even cut off one of Kord's legs before Kord cut his head off. You might think this would be the end of the story, but it continues. The spirit of the man was sold to an evil merchant that lent it out as a guide for Kord in the Dark tower campeign. The final incarnation became a physical manifestation as the horseman of death he came back soully for revenge on Kord, found out Kord had died and then killed himself once more.
- Javi- Javi was the middle aged captain of the H.M.S. Rat-Trap a ship given to him for indentured servitude by an amizon tribe. They worked off their debt to the amazons and sailed looking for treasure. Javi had an interesting crew, a horrible navigator and a first mate that was more intellegent but less liked by teh crew. The pirates sailed often finding treasure and trouble where ever they went. Thought not a long used character Javi was an interesting soul for a group without a leader.
- Meldar Rustbucket- This villan originally started out as a mercenary that was hiered by a village to get rid of a troublesome dwarf. (Meldar doesn't look too smart because he wears a rusty bucket on his head). Meldar got a job as an apprentice under Thorin Oreforger and then planned on how to get rid of the dwarf. Several violent outbursts after getting drunk were his key to doing his job. He took Thorin's axe after the old dwarf had passed out and went into town dressed as Thorin and killed several of the town's least cared for citizens. This included some children. Meldar got to watch in hiding as Thorin's wife was burned at the stake for her husband's absence. He was paid handsomely and went on his way. Quite a while later he got caught in a rose bush at the Flaming Druid's grove. (Before the druid was torched.) He was freed by Kord's group and traveled with the party until the night Thorin had located him and accused him of his wife's murder. The fight ended with Meldar leaving and only Aradin, the crazy flower loving mage was awake during the fight. Meldar found a new line of work with the evil tyrant known as Mannanon. He commanded a fairly powerful mercenary team that was torn apart several times after clashing with Kord's group. After a long trek Kord paid off Meldar to leave him alone and Meldar gladly abliged. Meldar Managed to recover some power in the indecision following Mannanon's death and took over leadership of the solders called the "Bloodrunners" he managed to run the group pretty well, and had a couple of timid brushes with the new kings army (Thorin had become king by this time). After a major blow struk after a failed alliance during the ascention wars of Drome. Meldar took a job working for a mysterious masked man, who took Meldar to the Forgotten Relms. This time he met Thorin for the last time and confessed of his crimes. Thorin for the first time in his life only cut off the evil dwarf's left hand and left Meldar forever looking behind his back for Thorin to deliver the final blow that would end his exsistance.
Living and active!
Lenny- Lenny is a half-elven bard with the worst luck imaginable. He starts out as a spy for the great lord anteater of Shadowdale to find and transmit the location of lord Antony. When he finally found lord Antony's whereabouts he sent a message to his master and would have ventured back but he heard a voice say. "500 Platinum!" This phrase was enough to gain his attention. He automaticlly introduced himself to the party and decided to travel with them a ways. He had lost all of his possessions to rougs on the way to find the lord and needed time to gain back some useful items. One thing he did keep though was his magical quiver. This Item could hold almost anything shaftlike. (He had a total of 60 flight arrows in the thing) Lenny traveled with the group a while gaining equipment and a new instrument for his company. He repaid the party by gaining them cheap inn stays when the money was taken from the party by an assassin. Lenny went with the others through the twisted tower campeign and wrote many songs for the many dead companions building up at his feat. He barely escaped death at the hand of a swarm of gibberlings, but luck made him one of the two survivors. After that more and more party members died with him being one of the few survivors. One such occation when the party was attacked by mountain giants left him as the only survivor. After some trouble in the city of Arabel Lenny left with a bonze armed mage and set out again to avoid danger. This, unfortunately, didn't happen he was constantly hounded by monsters on his travels and this made him wonder if he should travel at all. His latest companion is a strange masked mongrelman bard.
