Character classes

Here are some extra character classes for those pioneering souls.

Shadow Striker

• DESCRIPTION: A shadow striker is a master at the arts of combat stealth and magic. These are all of course, around for one purpose. Stealth is the only true goal of the shadow striker, using a combination of spells and thieving skills the shadow striker is the perfect spy or assassin. Being of such, a Shadow Striker may only use weapons from the M and S categories. The Thac0 of a shadow striker goes down at a rate of one per level. The Shadow Striker has a 40% base for distribution. Only a limit of 20% may be used on one skill at this time, additional levels add 20% and may be distributed at 10% for each. Spells that the Shadow Striker uses may only come from the Illusion category of the player's handbook. Considering their utmost need for stealth the Shadow Striker cannot wear any armor.
• ALIGNMENTS ALLOWED: All but, chaotic neutral, Lawful good, and Lawful neutral.
• ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: Str. 16 Dex. 16 Int. 17
• PRIME REQUIREMENTS: Dexterity & Intelligence
• RACES ALLOWED: All but kanx, vondolan and dwarves.
• BONUS PROFICIENCIES: Etiquette
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Shadow Strike- A 5th level mage spell gained by returning to the original trainer and petitioning for it's use. The Shadow Striker must be on level 10 before attempting this. It also costs a total of 5,000 gp. Saves=best of warrior/rouge/Magi Spell Progression=Mage

• DESCRIPTION: A memory master is a warrior, magi or layperson who has focused on keeping a certain skill memorized. The memory of a Memory Master is so great that they can obtain proficiencies in less than 2 rounds.

  Warrior- A warrior Memory Master has studied combat all his life and will thus is able to use many weapons. This devotion offers two advantages. After watching a person wield a weapon for more than 3 rds of combat the Memory Master gains that proficiency. If the person is specialized the Memory master will know so by the end of 3 rds and may watch an additional 3 to gain the specialization. Being a fighter type the rounds of combat are improved as per fighter and thac0 goes down at the same rate. Fighter hindrances are applied. Str 9 required.

  Magi- A Magi Memory Master is an expert at spell casting and has the ability to learn spells automatically. This is not all, the Magi can also by watching a spell being cast memorize that spell as one of his or her own and add it to his or her spell book. There is also a 1 in 6 chance that the spell cast is not wiped from memory and may be cast again later. All of the mage attributes are attributed to the Magi.

  Layperson- The Layperson Gains Thac0 like magi but does not have any saving throws beyond that of a 0 level fighter. The Layperson has one good skill however; he/she may pick up any NWP or language ability observed. What is lost in combat ability is gained in knowledge. Because of this the person may also not wear armor.

• SPECIAL SKILLS: Memorize Saves=level 0 fighter

• DESCRIPTION: This class is limited to any but the most faithful to the god Malikar. They are Holy warriors, bent on destroying evil no matter what its source or area. These warriors believe that combat is the only honorable solution to any problem. This could cause trouble in the group that the Holy Warrior travels with. He or she is tolerant to other goodly religions but will constantly hint and his/her god's superiority. If a situation makes it impossible to fight without grievous losses to the group or to the cause the warrior will look for another way out. He/she may even ask a fellow party member what could be done. This is because these warriors know little of peaceful solutions and though proud know their weaknesses.
• ALIGNMENTS ALLOWED: Chaotic Good
• ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: Str. 12 Con. 9 Wis. 13 Cha. 17
• PRIME REQUIREMENTS: Strength, Charisma
• RACES ALLOWED: Human
• BONUS PROFICIENCIES: None
• SPECIAL SKILLS: (All under paladin Differences explained.) Immunity to disease Detection of evil- 80' Damaging Hands- The Warrior may do 2 hit points damage per experience level. Only once per day by laying hands to the victim's flesh. Aura of protection. Power to turn undead. Priest spells. May call a war horse. May use a holy sword to create a circle of power- must be of proper alignment. May not possess More than 10 Magical items. Must Tithe. May only employ henchmen of proper alignment. War Cry- With this the Warrior can give a bonus of +2 to all attack rolls to the group for one battle. This can be used once a day.

• DESCRIPTION: These are holy knights under the embrace of the god Yoelk it is not often that these are seen, but on a rare occasion one might adventure with a group in order to gain a sacred item for their church. After the goal is completed, however they return to their post. If called to the proper cause a Peace Keeper will fight to the bitter end. They are wonderful friends to have if they can be befriended.

• SPECIAL SKILLS: Immunity to disease / Detection of evil / Aura of protection/ Power to turn undead / Priest spells/ +2 to all saves/ Heal by laying hands/ May call a war horse / May use a holy sword to create a circle of power- Must be of proper alignment/ May not possess More than 10 Magical items/ Never Retains Wealth/ Must Tithe/ Does not attract followers/ Zest- when a battle is met the Peace Keeper may call upon Zest, once a month. This will for the duration of the battle increase attack rolls by +4 and reduces armor class by 2 for the Peace Keeper.

• DESCRIPTION: These are very zealous warrior who is bent on keeping the balance between good and evil. If one side is losing a war the Keepers will join the losing side and switch off until there is peace once more. These are to be watched carefully if they are in a party. They follow the god Bennth.

• DESCRIPTION: These knights are insane warriors that kill and heal for no reason. These mad warriors are in the world by Djeffeene's bidding to spread their madness and chaos around the globe.
• ALIGNMENTS ALLOWED: Chaotic Neutral
• ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: Str. 12 Con. 9 Wis. 13 Cha. 17
• PRIME REQUIREMENTS: Strength & Charisma
• RACES ALLOWED: Human

• SPECIAL SKILLS: Immunity to disease / Detection of sanity / Aura of protection / Power to turn undead / Priest spells/ +2 to all saves/ May call a war horse / May use a holy sword to create a circle of power- Must be of proper alignment/ Never Retains Wealth/ May only employ henchmen of proper alignment/ Madness touch- once a day the Chaos Knight may touch someone and drive the receptor mad for 1d4 weeks per level. The receiver must make a successful save vs. spell with a penalty equal to that to the knight/

• DESCRIPTION: These followers of Dellseigh are extremely evil but not ambitious for power. Their only purpose in life is in the service of their god and follows the orders of their high priests.
• ALIGNMENTS ALLOWED: Lawful Evil

• DESCRIPTION: These followers of Zarregg are the most ambitious of the holy knights. Their only goals involve their ascension to power. Some even have ambitions to over throw one of the gods themselves.

• PRIME REQUIREMENTS: Strength & Charisma

• DESCRIPTION: These followers for Bonnetta are the most wicked creatures in the flaming druid world. Their existence is only to destroy that witch is good. They will ransack towns defile forests and many other vile deeds.

• SPECIAL SKILLS: Immunity to disease / Detection of good / Damaging Hands- The Warrior may do 2 hit points damage per experience level. Only once per day by laying hands to the victim's flesh./ Aura of protection / Power to control undead- when confronted with undead a Shadow has the power of a cleric 2 levels lower to control 2d6 of them. This works the same as turning. / Priest spells/ +2 to all saves/ May call a war horse / May use a holy sword to create a circle of power- Must be of proper alignment/ May not possess More than 10 Magical items/ Does not attract followers/ May only employ henchmen of proper alignment/ Cause Disease- Once a week the Shadow may cause a terminal contagious plague to come out in a living person. The person must make a con check or die from the disease. /
