This special page is my personal tribute to a beautiful and talented young woman that was taken from us too soon. I was deeply moved after watching the movie "Selena". A movie that was made with the help of her parents which makes it quite authentic. They gave their permission for Warner Bros. to use live footage in the making of this film. If you have not yet seen this movie, please do so. It will really touch your heart!

Selena was the queen of Tejana music. She won a Grammy in '93 for Best Mexican/American Performance. She was on the brink of bringing her music into the American limelight when her fan club president shot and killed her for no apparent reason other than the woman was a complete lunatic. Her untimely death touched many people, Hispanic and American alike. She is survived by her loving family, Chris Perez (her husband), Abraham and Marcella Quintanilla (her parents), a brother AB, a sister Suzette, and millions of mourning fans.

This candle burns in remembrance of a precious life lost to a wrongful death.

This beautiful picture comes from the Super Selena Website. This site is very nice with lots more great pics of Selena. Please take a few moments to pay a visit, just click on the picture above to go there and tell her I sent you.
