| Mrs Higdon's store was kind of like a covenience store except that
she didn't have the variety of grocery items that the modern convenience
store has. It was also different in that, she had 2 pinball machines,
a shuffleboard machine and a jukebox.
I put Blueberry Hill as the background music for this page because
I almost wore that song out on the juke box.
Check out the jukebox below, play the old songs from the late fifties
and early sixties and reflect on your memories from that era.
Mrs Higdon was a nice older lady that let us hang out there.
But you had to behave yourself. Several teenagers were barred from
the store because that didn't.
The regular teens that hung out there were myself, Royal Todd, Durwood
Todd, Tommy Cheek and my brother Carrol.
If we didn't have school the next day, we would often play 500 rummy
cards with Mrs. Higdon after she closed the store.
