This station was located on the corner of US#1 and Pitts Road.  It was owner my Mettie.  She was married when she bought the station.  After she was divorced, she ran the station herself.  A few of us local boys hung around there and helped her by pumping gas, washing windshields and checking peoples cars for oil and tire pressure.  When she remarried, we weren't needed any longer and so we quite hanging around but we were still customers and friends with her and her new husband.
