Note from the Webmaster:
The Aldridge family lived on Old Kings Road in Dinsmore. They
lived across the street from Aunt Hazel Stover. Mrs. Aldridge was
a sister to Aunt Hazel.
Mr Aldridge was a roofer. He could put the hot tar roofs on
buildings and had a shop to make the sheet metal for the roofing jobs.
Mrs Aldridge was a nice lady and was good to us kids. The Aldridge's
were one of the first families in the neighborhood to have a T.V. and I
remember going over every afternoon and watching "It's Howdy Doody Time."
The children were fun to play with and we spent hours climbing trees,
playing in the rain and digging for buried treasure in Aunt Hazel's pear
orchard.
