Justin pulled away. Suzy just looked at him wondering what he was thinking. Was he thinking of her? Did he feel anything towards her? Did he wanna be more than friends?
“I’m so glad your finally here!” Suzy exclaimed. “I know, me too! The drive took so long! Plus the guys didn’t make it any easier. I couldn’t wait to get outta the car!” Justin said with a smile. When he referred to “the guys”, he means the boy-band he’s part of called N’Sync.
They were almost as popular as the Backstreet Boys, but not quite there yet. It consisted of Justin, JC, Joey, Lance, and Chris. The BSB and them were always depicted by the media as being in competition, the truth of the matter was that the boys were l really good friends,....... sometimes. The girls liked to hang out all together, because they would all crack on each other and joke around. “Oh,.... well I hope it wasn’t that bad.” Suzy said to him.
“It was okay. But I think it was worth the wait.” he said flirting with her. “Well, let’s make this moment more memorable and get moving so we can P-A-R-T-Y!” Suzy said blushing while changing the subject. Nick sighed as he grabbed Jackie’s hand and led her to the kitchen. “Listen, we rented this really, really big boat and it’s nice and all, but, um,” Nick trailed off. “But what?!? Spit it out already!” Jackie said impatiently. “But,..... the problem is that there aren’t enough people to come. You see. You have to find more people to come or else we can’t rent the boat.” Nick said. “Or else what?!?” Jackie asked. “The people from the boat rental want the boat back.” Nick replied.
“ Don’t worry about it! I have a really good idea.” Jackie said thinking to herself. “What?” Nick asked as if reading her mind. “I want you guys to call the radio station, Z100, and say you guys have 20 empty seats for all BSB and N’Sync fans. They can give away the tickets. That way you won’t have to worry about it. Okay?!?” Jackie replied.
“Oh, okay. But do you really want fans to be there?” Nick said. “It’ll be okay as long as the behave. Just make sure you guys invite some other guys too. That way the girls won’t always be caught up on the fact hat they’re spending the weekend with the BSB and N’Sync.” Jackie reassured him. “Okay!” Nick said happy again.
They both left the kitchen excited. Jackie took the phone with her so Nick or someone else from the group could call in. They explained everthing to everyone and they all agreed to it. Brian called and the DJ , Kit Kelly , began to announce the give-away. The phones started ringing off the hook. Five mintues later Kit called back and said every single ticket had been sold. He also said the fans would meet them at the dock on pier 6 at Fantasy Island’s Boat-n-Dock, at 8:00 that night. Brian hung up the phone.
“Okay, is everything set?” he asked. “How are we all gonna fit in the car?” Howie asked. “We’re going in Jackie’s jeep. It’s gonna be me, Brian, Nick, Jackie, Suzy, and Justin. We’ll be nice enough and tie you to the roof if you want?” Wanda said in a serious voice. It was obvious she was just kidding. Jackie and Suzy laughed. “No, it’s okay!” Howie shot at her. “ Don’t yell too hard, might ruin your sexy, deep voice!” Wanda said.
“ Oh. I forgot! You don’t have a deep voice!” Wanda said making fun of him. “ Shut up!” Howie said, using that as his best defense. “Whatever!” Jackie said trying to break the tension even though she wanted to hear Wanda’s response. Howie looks at Aj for a give-me-a-lift kinda look. Aj immediately shook his head “no”. “I’m taking this girl I met at the mall with me. Her name is Jasmine. She’s sooooo fly! She looks much better than Amanda ever did and ever will!” Aj said to Howie. “FINE!, then who am I gonna go with?” he asked. “Like I said we’ll tie you to the roof!” Wanda said again.
