This is my project on how crystals grow differently on different surfaces.


These are the materials I used.

I put five different materials in five containers.
Cup One had a sponge.
Cup Two had cardboard.
Cup Three had mulch.
Cup Four had stones.
Cup Five had styrofoam.

I soaked all of the materials in water and drained the water off.
Then I put one tablesppons each of: salt,ammonia and liquid bluing into each cup.
The I obsevered the cups daily and kept a journal.
I learned that the crystals only started to grow after the water had evaporated.
I will try and put my journal on-line soon.
