Chapter 1
"HELLO? SIR?" The man asked in
A.J.'s face. A.J. rose and looked
around.
"What happened?" He asked confused of where
he was.
"Thou
were picking apples and thy fell
out of thy tree sir," he said pointing
to the tree.
"Thy tree?" He asked thinking how weird he
was
talking.
"Yes sir," the man said as A.J. shrugged. He looked
down
at himself and almost screamed.
What was going on?
"What year is
it?" A.J. asked.
"Are thou alright sir?"
"Just…tell
me what year it is," A.J. said standing up.
"'Tis 1549 sir, thy
month of May sir," the
man said as A.J.'s jaw dropped.
"Thank
you," A.J. said running away.
As he ran he couldn't believe how stupid
he looked in
what he was wearing and how dumb that
guy sounded, this must
be a dream.
He ran and ran, not realizing where
he was going and tripping
over a stump.
"Are thou alright sir?" A lady called to him.
"Fine
thanks," he said getting up and seeing
someone familiar, he couldn't find
out the face.
"Sir thy looks distraught," she said looking at him.
"I'm
sorry, have we met?" He asked.
"No not that thou recalls sir, good
day," she said
walking away from him like he was crazy.
"This
is too weird," he said aloud.
"Alexander there thou are!" The
familiar
voice of his mother Denise.
"Hello mother," he mumbled.
"Where
have thy been? Thou sent thee to pick apples
for tonight's dinner and thou bringst
back nothing?
I will just get your sister to do thy
bidding," she said
as he freaked.
"SISTER!?!" He asked as she pulled him by the ear.
She mumbled words the whole way to where
A.J. thought they were going,
their house.
"Gabriella?" Denise yelled as A.J. looked up
at
their castle of a house. It was the
largest thing he had ever seen!
"Thou
called?" She asked as A.J. looked at the girl
who was supposed to be his
sister.
"Alexander did not get any apples as thy requested,
please
get some," Denise said as
Gabriella nodded and walked out the door.
"Mother
how old is Gabriella?" A.J. asked out
of curiosity.
"Alexander
thy always forgets! She shall be 15 in
July," Denise said cleaning her hands
with her apron.
"I'm going out, see ya later," he said as
she
looked at him puzzled.
"Thy speaks so…different, art thou feeling ill?"
"No
I'm…I mean I am good, I am leaving,
I shall be back for dinner," A.J. said
correcting himself.
He had to explore where he was and find out why he
was
here. Is he trapped in his ancestor's body?
If he was where is his father? And
where are the
guys and most of all…Jessie?
"Alexander!" A.J.
turned around to see
Howie standing in front of him.
"D?" He
asked.
"Dwaine, 'tis my name! Shall we go now? Thy shall
be late
if we do not hurry," he said as A.J. shrugged.
Why not he had no idea
what he was doing anyway.
And knowing that Howie was called Dwaine
wanted
to make him laugh out loud.
They walked down the dirt road in a fast pace,
A.J. almost out of breath.
"Must we walk so fast?" He whined.
"We
need to quick haste or thou will miss the
fight!" Howie said as A.J. shrugged.
As they
walked they reached the castle; Howie, a.k.a. Dwaine
told him it
was the King's.
"I am forgetful today, why are we
here again?"
A.J. asked.
"How could thou forget? Today is the day your dear
beloved
princess speaks for the
fight," Dwaine said as A.J. nodded.
"Oh
yes, I recall!" He said trying to
talk like Denise and Howie.
"The
fight is supposedly with thy people of England
against us," Howie said as
they got up to the gate
where it was being held. They had front row;
A.J.
couldn't wait to see a fight!
"United States right?" A.J. asked
as Howie
gave him a scared look.
"France Alexander…are thou feeling
well this day?"
"It was a joke Dwaine, laugh!" A.J. said as
Howie
laughed. The trumpets blared as A.J. plugged
his ears, they were louder
than the screams
at their concerts!
"Ladies and gentlemen, her royal
heighness, the Princess
Isabel!" The man on the side of the golden chair
yelled to them.
A.J.'s mouth dropped when he saw her…Jessie was
a
princess!?!?! Jessie sat down in the golden chair
and crossed her legs; she was
beautiful
even in 15 whatever!
"Welcome all, my father has scheduled
this event,
though could not attend for reasons I cannot address.
Thou took
his place and is now proud to present
to thee, the knight of France vs. the knight
of
England…to thy death!" She said as Howie smacked
A.J.
"Alexander,
thou hadst watched her since she
been born, she doesn't even know who thy
are!"
A.J. groaned, the accents were annoying him
already.
"She will friend,
she will," A.J. said as he watched her
every move. He needed to see if she
knew him,
if he and Jessie were soul mates. Plus, he had her
love before;
he could certainly get it again!
