Chapter 6

I woke up with Jessie's soft body in my arms; the joy of
being with her engulfed me with happiness.

I watched her sleep, her gentle arms surrounding me
and I brushed through her silky hair softly.

I slid out of bed and put on some clothes,
walking into the kitchen and throwing all the
hard burgers in the trash. I looked in the fridge
and pulled out some eggs, milk, and bread.

I got the eggs and made my world famous
'every body loves these' french toast.

I put the food on a tray and took out some
strawberries. I gathered up everything and walked into the bedroom.

"Baby the house is on fire!" I yelled as she jumped up.
I smiled as she looked around.

"Where?" She asked confused.

"No where, it was a way to wake you up though wasn't it?"
I asked with a laugh. She pouted then looked at what I made. "Made some breakfast."

"You can cook?" She asked as I hopped into bed with her.

"Barely anything, but these I can, taste it," I said giving her a
bite of the infamous french toast.

"Oh, baby this is so good!" She said and she chewed.

"I know, I'm the greatest," I said as she giggled.

"Great at other things too," she said as I smiled.

"Damn straight I'm good at that!" I said as we laughed.

"Especially when you got what you had last night,
candles, food, and…mmm you," I said as she blushed.

"What do you want to do today?" She asked curiously.

"We gotta leave for the concert by 3, but until then we
can just stay here in bed," I said kissing her neck softly.

"I like that plan," she said kissing me lightly. "Strawberries?" She asked with a giggle.

"Hey…I'm hungry too ya know," I said taking a bite
of one. "Want some?" I asked as she nodded.
I let her take a bite of mine as she smiled.

"You know I'm not really that hungry for food," she said as my eyebrow raised.

"Oh really?" I asked as she set the tray on the floor.

"Really," she said sitting on top on my stomach.
"I feel weird being naked on top of you," she said with a giggle.

"Believe me it's okay," I said as she grinned. She laid her
head on my chest and sighed.

"Promise me something?"

"Anything," I said brushing her hair.

"You'll come back," she said as I nodded.

"Are you kidding? I couldn't live without seeing you!" I said as
she smiled.

"Really?"

"Of course! How do you think I get by?" I said pulling
the cover up over us. "If you thought I got by singing
or being around Nick…you are
way wrong," I said as she laughed.

"Do you ever think I'll stop missing you?" She asked.
I was going to say 'Not if you come home,' but I didn't
feel like another fight or any more crying.

"Someday baby, someday," I said kissing her forehead softly.

"A.J. you're late!" Lou yelled at me.

"Sorry Lou, we were in traffic," I said as I held Jessie's hand.

"Go get dressed," Lou said as I sighed.

"Aye aye cap'n!" I said as Jessie smiled.
I could tell she was nervous being back there,
she didn't speak a word!

"Hey Jess, A.J. come here," Brian said as I walked
over to him picking out our clothes.

"This is how they want it," Brian said looking through
the clothes. "1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th," got it?" He asked
as I nodded.

"Why do we need all this clothes anyway?" I asked as Brian shrugged.

"All I know is that this crowd tonight…
it's double what we've done so far," he said as I grinned.

"Phat!" I said as I looked at Jessie. She was looking
at Lou yell at everyone. "Don't worry about him, he yells
at everything," I said as she nodded. "B, take care of
Jessie while I change okay?" I said kissing her cheek and walking off.

"A.J. man, have you seen the crowd?" Nick asked nervously.

"No, but Brian told me! Wicked huh?" I asked as he shook his head.

"I'm nervous, what if I screw up?" He asked as I put the vest on me.

"If you screw up big deal! You're the teen sex symbol
anyways, if you mess up the girls will
love you more," I said putting on my belt and looking in the
mirror.

"You sure Bone?" He asked as I nodded.

"Of course! Kick ass little man," I said patting his back
and walking out of the dressing room. I saw Jessie sitting in a
chair next to Fatima, talking to her shyly.

"Yo Fatima, met my girl?" I asked kissing Jessie's forehead softly.

"We were just talking about how weird you are,"
Fatima said as Jessie smiled and looked up at me.

"Oh really?" I asked.

"Not really, we were talking about other stuff," Fatima said as Jessie
nodded.

"Mind telling me?"

"Yep," Fatima said as I pouted.

"A.J. get over here!" Lou yelled as I sighed.

"What?" I whined.

"The press want to see you and you're girlfriend,"
Lou said lighting up a cigar.

"Why? I don't know Lou," I said thinking of Jessie.

"Why not? They'll follow you around if you don't
do it now," Lou said as I took his cigar and smoked a bit of it.

"Okay, where are they?" I asked blowing the smoke out my nose.

"In that room," Lou said as I nodded. I walked over to Jessie and
kneeled down to her.

"Can you take an interview and possibly some pictures?" I asked her as
she shook her head.

"I don't mind," she said as I grinned. I took her
hand and walked over to the door.

"If they ask anything you don't want to answer, say no
comment or just simply don't say anything okay?"
I asked as she nodded. "Ready?"

"As much as I can be," she said as I opened the door.
The room was rather big, and the place already had a spot
for us to stand as we walked over to it.

"A.J. what's it like to finally be able to do what you always wanted?"

"A thrill actually, it's everything I expected and more, I'm just glad to do it."

"What are the guys like on tour?"

"They're still my best friends, just a little more cranky
when we have to get up so early in the morning."

"What country was the most fun to be in?"

"I'd say here…or maybe Thailand, that was fun."

"What's your reaction to the crowd tonight?"

"It's amazing, I never thought we were that enjoyed.
But now that I know we are I'm really going to enjoy being here."

"Are you Jessica Olsen?" They asked Jessie as I looked at her.

"Mmm hmm," she said as I grinned.

"How long have you two been together?"

"Um…almost a year," I said as she nodded.

"What's the tattoo mean?" They asked to Jessie.

"It's my nickname from the guys, because
I'm the youngest," she said with a grin.

"Is your father record producer Johnny Olsen?"

"Yes he is."

"Is it true you're attending Yale?"

"I am."

"How old are you?"

"18," she said as the reporters looked with a sly grin.

"Any regrets about the age difference?"

"None at all," I cut in. "We never thought a thing about it, and we still don't."

"Is it true that your mother was engaged to Johnny Olsen at one time?"

"Yes it is."

"Is your best friend Belle Swanson Jessica?"

"Yes she is."

"Is she Nick Carter's girlfriend?"

"Yes."

"A.J. are you homesick?"

"Very, I miss everything!"

"What did you miss most while being on this 6 month tour?"

"The most? I'd have to say Jessie here," I said as she grinned.
They took some pictures of us as we left. "You okay?"
I asked her as we walked back over to the chairs.

"Yeah, I was a little nervous though," she said as she
sat down in the chair she had before.

"A.J. we're on in five," Lou yelled as I nodded.

"Want me to show you were to sit?" I asked as she nodded.
I took her hand and walked her to the side of the stage.
"Watch this," I said with a smile.

"What are you going to do?" She asked with a giggle.

"Just watch," I said letting go of her hand. I jumped onto the
stage as girls screamed as hard as they could. I jumped back
as Jessie laughed. "I love doing that."

"A.J. stop!" Lou yelled as we laughed.

"What does it look like out there?" She asked.

"Wanna see?" I asked as she shook her head.
"I got a great idea! You can introduce us!"

"NO!" She said nervously.

"Aw come on, please?" I begged.

"Why?" She asked sitting down in her chair.

"Because they probably want to see you and
I want you to! Please!?!" I begged again.

"What do I say?"

"Anything, just at the end say ladies and gents the Backstreet
Boys or something like that," I said hopping that meant
she'd do it. "Good thing you're doing it, go!" I said pushing her
on stage as the girls screamed. I ran over to the guys as we
prayed and looked at Jessie.

"Why is she doing it?"

"Cause I pushed her on stage," I said with a laugh.

"Hi you guys…you ready?" She yelled as the girls screamed.

"Oh come on…are you ready?" The screamed louder as Jessie smiled.

"I'm Jessica Olsen and I'm proud to introduce my best friends
and your hotties, the Backstreet Boys," they screamed louder as
Jessie looked at me.

"I say we pull a little joke on her," Nick said as I grinned.

"I know what you're thinking," I said with a smile.

"Here are Kevin, Howie, Brian, Nick, and A.J. The Backstreet
Boys!" Jessie said as we walked out. I picked Jessie up and
threw her over my shoulder as pictures flashed.

"She was my fault, she was awful at introducing us wasn't she?"
I asked as Jessie whined.

"I think she did good," Kevin said as I shrugged.

"Okay well she's my girlfriend so I call the shots…
did she suck?" I asked as the crowd yelled no.
"Aw come on she sucked!" I whined as they yelled.
Jessie squirmed as I held onto her tight. "Well Jessie,
they thought you did good baby," I said putting her down.

"Thank you," she said looking at the fans and looking at me.

"Let's try it again," Nick said as I nodded.

"Yes let's," I said carrying her off stage.

"A.J. what are you doing!?!" She said angrily.

"I'm having fun!" I said as Brian, Kevin, Howie, and Nick
ran over to us on the side of the stage.

"This is stupid," she said shaking her head.

"Aw come on, we're just playin'," Nick said as Jessie smacked him in the
head.

"OW!" He whined.

"Move," Jessie said pushing Nick out of her way. "Okay…
I'm only doing this because the meanies made me do it again…
here are the meanies, the Backstreet Boys," Jessie
said as she walked back.

"That wasn't so hard was it?" I asked as she sat down in
the chair and stuck her tongue out at me. As the music for
'We've Got it Goin' On' started we ran out on stage
as the girls screamed…

"I still can't believe you guys did that to me," Jessie said
in the back of the rental van.

"I know now not to do it, I have the bruise the size
of King Kong!" Nick whined.

"We're here," Brian said as everyone hopped out of
the rental car. I grabbed my suitcase and took
Jessie's hand as we walked down the terminal.

"I'll be back you guys," I said dropping my suitcase and taking
Jessie to the corner of the terminal.

"I have to go A.J.," Jessie said shaking her head.

"Where?"

"To class…" her voice faded.

"Jessie, it's 9 at night," I said as she shrugged.

"I'm a busy person," she said looking down at the ground.
"I'll talk to you later," she said as she walked. I grabbed
her arm and embraced her as she sighed.

I kissed her softly and looked at she stared at the ground.

"I'm coming back, that's a promise," I said as she nodded
and walked away. She didn't look back, I think it was
one of those times where she was trying not to burst into tears,
she seemed so strong.

"Yo A.J., time to go buddy," Brian said as I nodded.

"Do you think she'll come home with me when
I come back B?" I asked as I walked over to my suitcase.

"I bet the world she will," Brian said as I grinned.

I hoped he was right, cause when I would
come back it would be in full force.
