Chapter 3
Okay, here was our plan, everything:
Belle would help me in the store pick
out the perfect outfit for
a special dinner we had planned. Then, I write a
letter to A.J. telling him
to meet a special someone at the beach where A.J.
and I always
went. Belle would take it to him, and that night everything would
settle out for itself…
"Did you give it to him?" I asked Belle
nervously.
"Yeah, after he just gave me this puzzled look like he
thought
it was me!" We both laughed as I sighed.
"Ready for me to come
over?" I asked.
"Yep, operation 'make Jessie beautiful,'"
she said as I laughed.
When I got there, I saw Nick and A.J. outside sitting
on the
stairs. A.J. looked at me as I walked up to the door with two bags.
"Hey,"
I said to Belle as she shut the door.
"I saw A.J. outside, nervous yet?"
Belle asked as I nodded.
"I don't know why, but I am!"
"Well…let's
get you dazzled up girl," Belle said as I nodded.

I looked
at myself in Belle's mirror one more time before
getting into my car. I was
wearing a strapless baby blue
dress that came up to my mid-thigh, my baby blue
butterfly
clips, and baby blue eye shadow to top it off. I got to the beach
and stared out for a second, I was so nervous and I had no idea why!
"Here
goes nothing," I said aloud as I took out the bags from
my car and hopped
out. I laid the blanket down on the sand
and put the rose petals all over it.
I put on some strawberry lotion
and set down my dad's champagne on the side
of the blanket. As I brushed my
hair for the last time I heard a car door shut.
I got up and saw his face; I grinned nervously as he looked
over at
me. He walked over as the sun set, it was so right.
"Hi," he said
as I smiled.
"Hi."
"I wasn't expecting this."
"I'm
glad," I said taking his hands. "I wanted to tell you that I was
sorry.
I took out everything on you and I know I shouldn't have."
"Baby
a simple I'm sorry would have been fine," he said looking down
at me. "But
this will do."
"Like it?" I asked as he looked around.
"Did
you think of this?"
"Actually no, Belle did," I said as he
grinned.
"Remind me to thank her."
"I'm so sorry A.J.,"
I whispered as he brushed his hand across my cheek softly.
"It's okay,
I promise," he said as I nodded. He kissed me
softly as I kissed him back
more passionate. He slowly put me down
on the blanket as our kisses got even
more passionate. He stopped,
taking off his sunglasses and putting them down.
He looked in my eyes
and brushed my cheek softly. "I love you."
"I
love you too," I whispered as he grinned.
"You know what I saw today
on the calendar?" He asked me as I
looked at him puzzled.
"What?"
"Monday is our 1-year anniversary," he said as I grinned.
"Really?"
He nodded as I smiled wide. "I'll just have to get
you something special."
"Baby,
it will be the best day of your life."
