Chapter 2

"So what is this thing we HAVE to go to?" Tiffany asked as
I looked at her from the corner of my eye.

"Just a girl's thing ya know? The stuff we used to do," I said as I sat down
on the diving board.

"Like the stuff in 6th grade?" She said as Belle laughed.

"I don't know, it's just sounds like fun okay?" I said putting on the
shades A.J. bought me.

"Ladies, can we join you?" Brian asked as I shrugged.
"Yey!" He said as they all jumped in soaking me.

"Why good day miss, what is a beautiful girl like you doing
on a diving board all alone?" A.J. said walking over to me.

"Excuse me sir, I am waiting for the man of my dreams."

"Someone with shades, tattoos, and weird hair perhaps?"

"No…a man with long blonde hair and a bold chest, like Fabio," I said with a laugh.

"How rude!" He said as I giggled. He sat behind me on the
board as I put my head on his muscular chest, making my heart melt.

"So Jess I hear you're having a slumber party!" Nick laughed
as the other's held in their laughter.

"Carter, shut up," I said with a sigh. "I'm not in the mood
for you today," I said as the guys laughed.

"Something wrong?" A.J. asked me as I brushed my hand up his arm to his
strong bicep.

"Just not in the mood for more laughter about it," I shrugged.

"Sorry," he said as I sighed.

"It's okay, I love you that's different," I said as we laughed.
He brushed his hand across my bare stomach as I kissed him lightly.

"Sauna, you, me, later," he said as I nodded. He got up and
jumped in the pool as I laid my head on the board. I closed
my eyes and dreamt of my beach house that I would
someday have with A.J.

"Jess?" My dad called. I opened my eyes and looked over
at him.

"Yeah dad?"

"Your mother's on the phone," he said as A.J. looked at me.

"Coming," I sighed. I got up as A.J. watched me
walk inside. "Hello?"

"Hello Jessica, how are you?"

"Great…you?" I said biting my lip.

"I might be coming to visit sometime soon, to stay
with you and your father for a while."

"Um…actually I'm moving sometime this week."

"Again? Jessica this is the 3rd time this year!"

"I know, I just want to this time."

"Where?" I paused. I brought the cordless outside
and looked at A.J. as he dunked Nick underwater.

"With A.J."

"Him? That guy that cheated on you? Him?"

"Um…yeah," I sighed walking over to the diving board and
sitting on it, I bit my nail nervously as I looked at the guys.

"Jessica what makes you think it will be safe to live with that boy? He looks
like trouble."

"Mom I know I just…" I got interrupted as A.J. looked over at me.

"I don't call you for a few months and you go do something
stupid. I don't want to come right now. I wanted to see
you and your father but now I think I'll wait until A.J.
cheats on you again. Know why? So I can tell you I told
you so…Jessica I…I'm hanging up I don't
want to listen to this," she said.

"Mom? Mom wait!" I said as the phone clicked.
I could believe she said that to me!

"Dad?" I yelled as I ran inside. "Dad!"

"What? What is it princess?" He asked as I held onto him.
I cried as I always did when I was little and my mother
said mean things. I always let her get to me.

"Mom told me I'm stupid and A.J. will cheat on me
again and she doesn't want to see us and…"

"Shh, it's okay princess, calm down," he said brushing
my hair as my tears stopped flowing.

"Why is she so mean to me?" I asked sadly.

"I don't know, I really don't know," he said as I wiped my eyes.

"I…I have company, I should go. You look nice going out?"

"Dinner with Sandy," he said as I grinned.

"Have fun daddy," I said kissing his cheek softly.

"Thanks princess…don't let your mother get to you okay?"
He said as I walked out his room and down to the kitchen.

I looked out the window as I saw all of them sitting
on the sides of the pool…waiting for me to come out.

"Hi," I said walking out.

"You okay?" Belle asked as I sighed.

"A.J. told us about your mom," Kevin said as I stopped dead
in my tracks.

"He did what?"

"Don't blame A.J., we all begged to know," Howie said
as everyone nodded.

"Oh come on that's like saying you jumped off a bridge because
I begged you to," I said angrily. "I have to go to class," I said
walking inside. They knew I didn't have class, school
didn't start for 2 more months.

"Jessie wait," A.J. said as I stammered up the stairs.

"Don't A.J., just don't," I said opening my door.

"They wanted to know and I didn't think it
was that big of a deal," he said as I turned to him.

"Maybe not to you but to me! I told you about my mom
because I trust you, I didn't want everyone knowing my
private business," I said angrily as he sighed.

"I didn't know you didn't tell anyone."

"Not Tiffany, not Belle, no one," I said as he nodded.

"I'm sorry, I can't take it back now," he said as I shrugged.

"I'm also going to ask you to leave, and I won't take that
back," I said folding my arms as he looked at me sadly.

"You're serious aren't you?" He asked.

"So serious," I said as he nodded angrily.

"Fine," he said slamming my door.

~*~*~*~

"I can't believe I did that," I sighed stuffing a spoonful of ice
cream in my mouth.

"I don't know, A.J. told everyone something that was private,
if Nick did that to me I'd kill him," Belle said trying
her best to comfort me.

"I wasn't really mad about that, I was mad because of my
mom…I took it all out on him," I said sadly.

"Well then you screwed up," she said as we laughed.

"Thanks Belle," I said as she shrugged.

"No problem," she said as I sighed.

"What do I do?"

"I have an idea…I have no idea if it will work but
it's worth a try right?"

"Depends…what do you have in mind?"
