Chapter 15
"Jessie don't do it!" My dad yelled as I turned, my
jaw dropped
to the floor.
"Dad what are you doing here?" I asked.
"Jane
told Denise what you two were
doing," my dad explained as we all looked
at Nick.
"Sorry! My mom is my mom!" He shrugged.
"Daddy
you can't stop me, A.J. and I
are in love," I said as A.J. nodded.
"Denise
and I aren't getting married!" He said as
A.J. and my mouth dropped even
farther.
"HUH?" Everyone asked.
"We talked and we decided
we both really
didn't have anything in common," Denise said as
my dad
nodded.
"Nothing," my dad said.
"So do you really want
to do this?" Denise asked.
"Daddy can I see A.J.?" I asked.
"Of
course! I was just mad,
I'm sorry," he said as I looked at A.J.
"Do
you still want to do this?" I asked.
"Do you?" He asked.
"Well,
I want to marry you, but like we talked
about…in the way distant
future,"
I said as my dad grinned.
"Me too," he said as I smiled.
"That's
what I was sad about!" I said as he grinned.
"That's what I was
sad about too!" He
said as I hugged him.
"You two are not getting
married?" The old man asked.
"Not today," A.J. said, carrying
me out the door.
"Where are we going?" I asked laughing to death.
"Our
honeymoon suite!" He said as I giggled
