BSB has sold 437,000 copies of "MILLENNIUN",the numbers push the album's three-week sales figures over 2 million copies. Ricky Martin sold another 312,000 copies of his self-tittle album to hold to the number 2 spot. The highest debut comes from Ja Rule's "Venni Vetti Vecci" who has sold more than 184,000 copies with its first week in stores.Jennifer Lopez seemed to make a smooth transition from actress to singer as she sold more than 111,000 copies of her "On The 6" to debut at number eight.

Bad news and good news. Bad news BSB werent on the Blockbuster Awards and they werent nominated. Good news MILLENIUM will be #1 for the fourth week in a row since release. The album has sold an extra 371,000 copies.

Despite Rumors
Backstreet Boys Despite rampant rumors to the contrary, spokespeople for the Backstreet Boys say that B-Boy Brian Littrell is in fine health and plans to remain with the band.
Recently, fans have been abuzz with talk that the heart condition Littrell underwent surgery for last year has caused problems for the singer during the group's current European tour, and that he would be taking time away from the band. The rumors may have stemmed from Orlando, Florida's WPYO radio, which reported that Littrell was facing more surgery when the Boys' European tour wraps up in August. The station noted that the report was unconfirmed and urged listeners to get to the bottom of the story and call WPYO with details.
Speaking through the group's publicist, management for the Backstreet Boys denied that Littrell was experiencing health problems and said that he will not be taking time off from the band. Littrell and the rest of the Boys are expected to wrap up their European tour on August 7 in Sweden before kicking off a U.S. tour in September.

The one-two punch of the Backstreet Boys and Ricky Martin will continue their reign atop the "Billboard" album chart next week, The Backstreet Boys sold an additional 338,000 copies of their "Millennium" album to hold on to the top spot according to sales figures released by SoundScan on Wednesday. The Boys edged out Ricky Martin, who sold another 313,000 copies of his self-titled album to stay at number two.

Will Limp Bizkit Topple Backstreet Boys? The Backstreet Boys' tyrannical reign atop the "Billboard" album chart may soon be over. Hollywood trade paper "Variety" reports that early industry buzz has the group's "Millennium" album being knocked out of the number one slot by the arrival of Limp Bizkit's "Significant Other."The Backstreet Boys have had a firm grasp on number one since "Millennium" was released five weeks ago. The album sold more than a million copies in its first week in stores and has sold close to three million copies since then.Whether the Boys or Bizkit winds up on top of the chart, the big winner of the week looks to be the Firm, the management company that handles both acts.

According to sales figures released by SoundScan on Wednesday, the band's eagerly anticipated sophomore effort, "Significant Other," sold more than 634,000 copies in its first week in stores to land at number one. The hard-hitting Florida outfit wrestled the top spot away from the Backstreet Boys, who had held the top of the chart for five weeks. The Boys' "Millennium" slips to number two next week after selling another 273,000 copies.
