“I can’t believe that they are related. Let alone TWINS!” Nick said, just before he got out of the car.
“Yeah no kidding. And we just thought it was really weird that they had almost the same name!” AJ teased.
“Yeah, Nicky, you just keep telling yourself that.” Justine had come up behind him.
“Aw damn! Why do you always have to do that?”
“To annoy you. Why else?”
“She has a point.” Howie said, trying not to laugh.
“Come on, lets keep moving. If we don’t, I have the feeling we will be standing here for hours to come.” Chris said, grabbing Justine’s arm and pulling towards the direction that Paige had gone. He had assumed that she was going inside the house.
“Chris I can find my way into my own house!”
“Could have fooled me!”
“Shut up! Let me go!” They walked into the house and Justine waited for her brother. Once he had come to the door she walked down the hall with him. He stopped and looked at the pictures on the bookshelves. He found one that interested him.
“What’s this?” he picked up the picture frame and held up for her to see. Justine looked at the frame, not even looking at the picture itself.
“Oh, that.” She looked at him for a minute. “It was kind of a joke around here. We had the same last name and almost the same first name. It became a big thing with some of my friends. One day Paige saw this picture in something that she was reading so she cut it out and framed it. It’s been up on this bookshelf ever since.”
“Really?” She nodded. “That’s weird. I bet they would have never guessed that anything like this was going to happen.”
“Actually, most of them don’t know about this. I haven’t found the right time to tell them, or I know that they wouldn’t believe me.”
“Well, I guess they are all going to find out tonight.”
“Yeah, I guess so!” They walked into the living room where everyone else was.
“Well, I think we should probably start setting up for the party. People are gonna start arriving in little over an hour.” Paige was saying as the pair walked into the room.
“Well, since we have ten guys here, I think that this shouldn’t be too hard. Especially since three of them are over 6 feet tall.” Serina said with a smile.
“Does this mean that you’re gonna put us to work?” Brian whined.
“Yes! You think you’re gonna sut here and do nothing while I run around, decorating for my party?”
“Hey it was worth a shot.” Brian got up off the couch and walked into the kitchen following Paige, who was going on about how there so much to do but so little time.
Soon everyone was assigned a job and was doing it dilagently. Well, for the most part. Nick and JC were having crate paper wars in the living room, but other then that everyone was doing their job.
Justine walked through the living room, in search of scissors. She saw Nick and JC throwing paper at each other and laughed. She looked at Lance, who was hanging balloons up in the corner of the room, and he rolled his eyes.
This made her laugh again. From what she had heard JC was the serious one in this group, and she was guessing it was probably a good thing that he was having some fun.
She walked into the kitchen, still in search of a pair of scissors. She was greeted with the sight of Brian, Serina, and Paige, all cooking.
Paige had decided that it was in Brian’s best interest to wear an apron. It just happened to say KISS THE COOK on the front of it. So when she passed him, spotting a pair of scissors on the counter next to him, she planted a kiss on his cheek.
He smiled at her. “You know, you are the only person who has read what the apron says and actually done it?”
“Oh you poor baby.” She gave him another peck on the cheek and walked out of the room, scissors in hand. As she passed back through the living room, she noticed that Nick and JC had stopped the war, but would every once in a while one would throw something at the other.
45 minutes later the doorbell rang for the first time. “I’ll get it!” Nick yelled.
“No you wont!” Justine called, running down the stairs
“Why not?”
“Cause it’s my house!’
“If one of you doesn’t get it, I will.” Justin said, walking into the hall.
“Since when were you the logical one?” Nick asked as he let Justine by so she could answer the door.
“Shut up Carter.” Justin said, jokingly
“I hope for all your guys’ sake that the first 15 people here are male. That way maybe you can just blend in when the girls start to show up.” Serina said, with a smile.
“Why’s that?” Justin asked, forgetting about who he was.
“Hello?! Anyone in there!? We have the Backstreet Boys and *N SYNC in here and your asking me why it would be better if the first people here were male? How dense can you be?” She threw up her arms in frustration.
“Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Sorry.”
“Yeah yeah, whatever. Like I said, lets just hope that the guys get here first.”
By then they had wondered out of the hall and into the newly decorated living room. There were streamers and balloons everywhere. A moment later Justine appeared in the entrance to the room.
“We got lucky, it’s just Devin, Jeff and Mark.” Three guys appeared behind her.
“I feel so loved now.” One of them said.
“You should, Dev.” She smiled back at them, then pushed them into the room in front of her. “Guys, this is Devin, Jeff and Mark.” She pointed to each one as she said their name. “Devin, Jeff, Mark, these are the guys. Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson, AJ McLean, you know Nick and Brian. Then those other guys are JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Justin Timberlake.”
“Hey, J. He’s go the same last name as you.” Mark said.
“Well, that probably cause he’s my brother.”
“You have a BROTHER!?”
“Yep!”
“Wow! I didn’t know that.”
“You aren’t the only one.” Justine said.
“What do you mean?”
“I didn’t know he was my brother until about two weeks ago. So you aren’t the only one that didn’t know I had a brother.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah, that’s what I said!”
Paige walked into the room. “Hi Devin, Jeff, Mark. How are you three?”
“We are great, Paige! It’s great to know that I don’t have to go to school on Monday!” Jeff said.
“What schools are you guys going to?” Nick asked, sitting down on the couch next to Justine.
“Well, I have a basketball scholarship to UC Berkley.” Jeff said.
“And I am going up to Ohio. I’m gonna go to the performing arts school up there.” Mark said.
“You guys should see him act. He’s great!”
“J, you just say that cause you think that if I make it big, I’ll remember you cause you said that.” Mark laughed.
“So, you aren’t going to remember me?”
“Oh course I am! But it’s not cuase you say that I’m a good actor. Well, at least that’s not the only reason.”
“What about you?” JC asked Devin.
“I’m going to New York.”
“Devvy is a photographer.”
“You guys are a photographers dream. Mostly the people that buy the pictures of you guys don’t care if they are good or not.” Devin laughed.
Justin turned to Justine, who was sitting next to him. “It sounds like you have some very talanted friends.”
“You could say that.”
“So.... what are you gonna do?” Lance asked.
“I’m not sure....” Just then the bell rang again. “I’ll get that.” Justine said as she got up. When she reached the door the group in the living room could hear her sigh. “I’m warning you now.... it’s Mallory and Gwen. And Melyssa and June.”
“Basically, take cover?” Serina asked.
“Yup!” They heard her open the door. “Hey! How are you? Um... just before you go into the living room where everyone else is, I want to warn you that there may be some people that aren’t from school that you recognise.... like my brother...” Justine walked into the room, followed closly by four girls. Mallory, Gwen, Melyssa, and June, I would like you to meet some of my friends. Nick Carter, JC Chasez, Kevin Richardson, Joey Fatone, Howie Dorough, Lance Bass, AJ McLean, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Brian Littrell.”
“Hi...” Three of the four girls said, robotically. Justine laughed.
“They don’t bite. At least, I don’t think they do.”
“Hey what about me?” Justin whined, getting up and walking over to his sister. “Don’t I get an introduction?”
“Oh yeah, I almost forgot...” Justin shot her a look. “Girls, I would like you to meet Justin Timberlake, my twin brother.”
“Your what?” Melyssa said, shocked out her mind. “You don’t have a brother!”
“Well, it looks like she does, doesn’t it?” Serina said.
“Actually, she has three brothers.” Justin said, putting his arm around Justine’s shoulders. “I have two little brothers.”
Mallory was the only one of the three that wasn’t star struck. She walked over to where everyone else was sitting. “Hi, I’m Melody Perkens.” She introduced herself.
“Hi!”
“I hate to sound whiny, but when are we gonna start this party?” Joey said.
“Yeah, I’m with him. When are we gonna crank up the music and party like there’s no tomorrow?” AJ askied.
“I should have known that haveing the two of you at the same party was going to be interesting.” Justine said. “Well, as soon as the DJ gets here we can crank it.” The doorbell rang again. “Watch, it’s the DJ.”
Justin ran to answer the door this time. “Hey, Tiny! You were right.”
“Where do you want this set up?” The Dj asked, walking into the room.
“Come with me, and I’ll show you.” Paige said, walking into the newly emptied dining room.
“Well, if everyone reacts like that, then it’s gonna be one long night!” Justine said, sitting back down, this time between Nick and JC.
“Teens, you need to relax! This is your graduation party!” Nick said.
“I know.... Don’t worry, I’ll have fun.”
“You better!”
Later that night...
Justine was standing with two of her friends when a slow song came on. Almost instantly she felt some one tap her on the shoulder.
“May I have this dance?” Justine laughed and pertended to think about it. “Come on! You promised me you would save me a dance!” Nick whined.
“No I didn’t!”
“So! Can I have one anyways?”
“I guess...” She turned to her friends. “Do you mind?”
“No, not at all. Go have fun.”
“She will, don’t worry.” Nick called back as he pulled her over to where everyone was dancing. Once he found a spot he stopped and turned towards her.
“Nick you are crazy. You know that, right?”
“Yeah I know. Is that a problem for you?” He asked as he pulled her closer to him.
“No, not at all. I was just making sure you knew.”
“Good.” Justine just shook her head and put her arms around his neck.
“Nick?”
“Yeah?”
“Why do you think Serina is so set on us going out?”
Her question surprised him at first and then he laughed lightly. “I have no idea. She just likes to play matchmaker. Why?”
“I don’t know. She used to push it so much, but since I found out about Justin she hasn’t really said anything about it.”
“Maybe she has finally figured out that what’s gonna happen is gonna happen and she might as well leave it alone.”
I think she’s too interested in Lance to bother with trying to get me to go out with you.” Justine said, looking at her friend who was also out on the dance floor, with Lance.
“That could be it too.” Nick said following her line of vision. “Teeny?”
“Yeah?”
“Would you like to go to the beach with me next weekend?”
Justine looked up at him. “Are you asking me out?” He thought about it for a second and then nodded. “OK, I’ll go with you Nick.”
“Great!” Just then Justin walked spotted them and walked over.
“Hey you two look like your having fun.” He grinned.
“We were, until you came over.” Justine said, with a smile.
“Ok then! I can tell when I’m not wanted.”
“What did you want J?” Nick asked.
“Nothing. Just wanted to see what you two were up to.”
“OK......nothing we’re just dancing, as you can see.”Justine said.
“Ok, well, I think I’m gonna go see if I can find Mallory. Damn! That girl is fine!”
“Justy, that was too much information and you are telling the wrong person. She’s one of my best friends.” Justine said.
“OK, well I’m gonna go find her. Have fun!”
