Part One: Kevin

Anya walked into the kitchen and saw her older friend, Kevin Richardson, standing there. He was leaning up against the sink and he smiled as she walked into the room in flannel pajama pants and a tank top.

“Hey Ans. Oh and good morning!” He grinned at her morning cloths and bed head.

“Oh be quiet Kevy- Kev! I’d be careful if I were you. I know where you live. You can’t hide out at your mom’s either, cause I know where she lives too. You can’t hide form me.” He opened his mouth to retort but she cut him off. “And don’t even think about hiding at Brian’s either!”

“Calm down Anya! I’m not going to hide from you. I came here to tell you that I’m leaving.”

“Leaving?” Anya almost choked on the word.

“Yes. I’m taking Dad’s advice and going to Orlando. Find something to do until I can write some more songs and then maybe cut a track. What do you think?”

“I think it’s gonna be really quiet and lonely around here without you. But if you are going to happier and maybe even make something out of yourself, then, well, I’m behind you 100%.”

“Really?” He sounded a little uncertain.

“Yes. I want you to be happy Kev.”

“OK then well, I guess it’s to Orlando then.”

“When do you leave?”

“In two days, I guess.”

“You better start packing. But you have to promise me that you won’t leave without saying goodbye, OK?”

“Yeah, I wouldn’t even think of it! Well, I gotta go, but I’ll be over at Brian’s if you need me.” He walked to the front door, Anya following.

“So you do hide out there.”

“Ha, ha. Bye Anya. Talk to you later.”

“Later Kevy-Kev.”

She watched him walk down the steps that lead up to her front door.

Little did she know that would be the last time she saw him until.... Well that’s another story...
