Got Any Plans Tonight?

"So, what do you want to do tonight? It's up to you," Brian said helping me off the counter.

"I don't know, something relaxing. How 'bout we rent a movie?" I asked him. He looked a little disappointed, but agreed. "What? What is it? What do you want to do?" I laughed.

"No, nothing. That's fine." He said, trying to hide his initial reaction to my suggested plans.

"Yeah right, I saw that face. Why what'd you have in mind?"

"I don't know, I kinda wanted to go out. Like dinner or something," he suggested. I looked at him, amused. He tries so hard to make me happy and always lets me make the plans. But he always feels bad when he suggests doing something other than what I suggest. Then he acts all shy, like I'm going to kick him out or something for him wanting to take me out to dinner.

"Baby, that's fine. Perfect even. We can go out to dinner and have a nice romantic evening all to ourselves, kay?" I said, ruffling his brown hair. "I'm going to go take a shower!BY MYSELF!" I added chuckling when I saw a mischievous glint in those blue eyes. I turned and headed up the stairs to the shower. As I climbed the steps, I yelled back down to Brian, "So where are you planning to take me? McDonald's?"

"Yeah, we have reservations in the birthday party section in an hour. So hurry up so we can get there before the playground gets too crowded," he added sarcastically. I giggled then walked into our bathroom, turning on the hot shower.

I climbed out of the shower and dried myself off a little before wrapping the towel around myself. I put on some eyeliner, mascara, and silver eyeshadow to accent my blue-green eyes. After adding a little lipstick, I began to blow-dry my hair. I didn't hear Brian walk in over the noise of the blow-dryer. So when I turned around to find a brush, he nearly gave me a heart attack.

"Hey, whoa, didn't hear you walk in," I said startled. He laughed.

"Scare ya, huh? We've been living together for 4 months now, and dating for 2 years, and I still scare you?"

"You will always scare me," I laughed, pushing him towards the shower. "Now go bathe yourself, or I'm taking someone else to dinner."

"Fine. You can be replaced," he said before grabbing a towel and turning on the shower. "After all, I have, what, ten million girls ready and willing to do anything with me?"

"Just as long as it's not Leigh Anne," I added curtly. Brian gave me a questioning look then shut the door to the shower. He and Leigh Anne had dated on and off for about a year or so. I actually met him when he and Leigh Anne were together, but one thing led to another, and they broke up and he and I started dating. They hadn't been on speaking terms for a long time, but she had shown up in Orlando recently for some movie role, and somehow got in touch with him and took him to lunch a few days ago.

Of course I trust him, but I don't trust her. So naturally I was a little uneasy about the whole thing of him and Leigh Anne being friends again. He assured me he was only humoring her, but that had ceased to make me feel any better.

"Of all the places to shoot her stupid movie, it had to be here in Orlando," I muttered to myself while I looked through my closet. "She just HAD to waltz back into his life." I sighed.

I decided to push all thoughts of the whole Leigh Anne thing out of my head and tried to pick something to wear tonight. My eyes caught sight of the red snakeskin pants I'd bought the day before. I quickly grabbed them off the hanger. I decided to wear a shirt of the same dark red color that had thin straps that cris-crossed in the back. I added some mousse to my hair to give it a little more volume and bring out the faint blond highlights, and let a little tendril of hair hang down in front. I added a little jewelry and perfume then rummaged through the closet for my black stiletto heels. When I stood up I felt two strong arms snake around my waist.

"Ready to go?" Brian whispered in my ear.

"Yeah," I whispered back. I turned around and looked him over. He looked quite attractive in just simple khakis and a blue collared shirt I had given him. "You look nice," I told him, kissing him on the nose, then walked over to the dresser and bent down to get my purse.

"Yeah you do too. Where'd you get those pants?" He murmured. I stood up and turned around quickly, laughing.

"Hey, watch where those eyes go," I said.

"I don't know, I could stare at you all day, Mags," he said sweetly before kissing me.

The kiss lasted a few seconds before I pulled away saying, "Well, we better get going. Playground will be crowded soon!"
